Obituary

Evan Curtis Rodriguez was born April 21, 1994, to Laura and Keith Rodriguez in La Junta. Evan attended Manzanola Elementary School and the Pueblo School District. Evan attended and graduated from IntelliTec College in Colorado Springs with a Biomedical Technology Degree. He resided in Pueblo and was 28 years of age.
Evan was a sweet sensitive man that wore his heart on his sleeve.

He loved spending time with his brother and sister Keylan and Keyani Ontiveros. He was a prominent presence in his brother and sister’s life from birth. Evan often visited and socialized with his extended family. He often said his abuelito, Humberto Ontiveros, Sr. was his best friend. He had a very close and special relationship with his aunt, Jacqueline Ard and cousin, Mireya Garcia.

Evan worked with James and Jacqueline Ard, his uncle and aunt, in construction in Cuchara, Colorado. He enjoyed the mountains and fresh air. He was an avid fisherman.

Evan was funny, charismatic, respectful, kind and loving. He was quick to lend a helping hand or give up his seat to make you more comfortable. He enjoyed cooking, loud music, video games and the Dallas Cowboys. He was known by his family and friends as an authentic free spirit. Though his life was short his impact was great. Evan will be loved and missed by his parents, siblings, grandparents, uncles, aunts and cousins.
