Rocky Ford Fire Department VS Structure Fire 9/8/22
Today at approximately 2:10 pm we were paged to a structure fire with someone possibly inside at 1405 Swink Avenue.
Upon arrival we found the front of the structure engulfed in flames and the person that was reported inside was outside no longer inside the residence.
A bystander assisted the person from the structure through the back door.
Moments later our Engine arrived and quickly extinguished the fire along the porch area.
Manzanola Volunteer Fire Department assisted our suppression efforts.
No injuries were reported and adjacent structures were not threatened as the fire was contained to the area of origin.
The cause of fire determined to be accidental due to a lit cigarette left unattended on a couch located on the front porch. All units cleared scene at approximately 3:30 pm.
