Obituary

Josephine “Josie” Green passed away on Thursday, October 13, 2022 in Rocky Ford. She was born on March 22, 1943 in La Junta, Colorado to Jess and Bessie Pantoya. She was the third of five children: Eva, Barbara, Josephine, Junior, and Frank Pantoya.

Josie was a hairdresser for many years. She also worked for her sister, in the family business, at Fiesta Restaurant in Rocky Ford for the last 20 years.

She is survived by her husband, Claire Green; her daughter Cecilia “Nettie” Holden and husband Rod Holden of Pueblo; 1 granddaughter LaNae Pantoya of Pueblo; 1 great-granddaughter Rosalia Immel of Pueblo, and 2 siblings: Barbara Martinez (Phillip Jimenez) and Junior John Pantoya (Pat Pantoya). She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister Eva Lopez (Louis A Lopez), and her brother Frank Pantoya (Linda Pantoya).

Private services will be held by the family.

Bellwood Ford Ustick Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
