Rocky Ford Fire Department VS Electrical Fire

Today (10/21/22) at approximately 10:50 am we were paged to 306 North 5th Street on a burning odor investigation.  Upon arrival we observed minimal smoke creeping from the eaves. 

Traffic control assisted by RFPD.  All persons were evacuted from the residence. 

We entered inside and determined smoke and heat was coming from the attic space above one of the bedrooms using thermal imaging technology.

Minimal impact suppression tactics were used and fire was extinguished.  Cause of fire was determined to be faulty degradated  electrical wiring.  All units cleared scene at approximately 12:00pm.
