10/15/2022

Deputies responded to the area of 4th St and St. Vrain Ave for a report of a noise complaint. When deputies arrived, the noise was within the noise ordinance limits.

Deputies responded to the 700 block of Vine Ave for a report of ambulance assist. Deputies assisted ambulance personnel load the patient.

Deputies responded to the area of Highway 194 and mile marker 13 in Las Animas for the report of livestock on the highway. Deputies were unable to locate any livestock.

Deputies responded to the 1300 block of 11th street in Las Animas for the report of a stolen vehicle. Deputies took a statement from the individual. 

Deputies responded to the 300 block of 4th street in Las Animas for the report of a dog at large. Deputies were unable to locate the dog.

Deputies responded to the 30000 block of Highway 196 in McClave for the report of stolen property. Deputies took statements and pictures. 

Deputies responded to the 600 block of Cottonwood Avenue in Las Animas for the report of damaged property.  Upon further investigation, deputies discovered three broken fence posts. 

Deputies responded to the 300 block of Grove Avenue in Las Animas for the report of a burglar alarm. Deputies found that staff entered the wrong code.

Deputies responded to the 300 block of Bent Ave for a report of an intoxicated party. Deputies arrived and gave the party a courtesy ride to their residence.

Deputies responded to the 700 block of 4th St for agency assistance. Deputies spoke with residents and relayed the information to the outside agency.

10/16/2022

Deputies responded to the area of 4th and Lois Ave for a report of fireworks being set off. Deputies found the fireworks that were set off but no one else was in the area.

Deputies responded to Highway 50 and Milepost 400 for the report of livestock on the highway. Deputies returned the livestock to the pasture.

Deputies responded to 6th Street for the report of a dog on the loose. Deputies transported one dog to the Las Animas Dog Pound.

Deputies responded to the intersection of 10th Street and Ash Avenue for the report of a careless driver. Deputies were unable to locate the driver.

Deputies responded to 5th Street for a civil issue. Deputies explained to the individual that it was a civil matter.

Deputies responded to the 600 block of 6th Street for a 911 misdial. Deputies determined that everything was okay.

Deputies responded to the 500 block of Poplar Avenue for the report of a traffic problem. Deputies were able to fix the issue.

Deputies responded to the 32000 block of County Road 15 for an ambulance assist. Deputies assisted EMS with the patient.

Deputies responded to CR 14, one mile north of the canal, on a report of cattle out on the roadway. Deputies got the cattle back in the pasture. 

Deputies responded to the 300 block of Maple Ave on a report of a 911 misdial. Deputies found everything to be okay. 

10/17/2022

Deputies responded to the 100 block of North Bent Ave on a report of a burglary alarm. Deputies found this to be a false alarm. 

Deputies responded to the 200 block of Locust Ave to assist the ambulance. The patient refused transport. 

Deputies responded to the 400 block of Elm Avenue for the report of suspicious activity. Deputies determined that everything was okay.

Deputies responded to Highway 50 and Milepost 394 for a motorist assist. Deputies assisted the motorist.

Deputies received a call to the 600 block of 9th Street for a dog at large. Deputies took one dog to the pound. 

Deputies responded to the 900 block of Ash Avenue for the report of harassment. After further investigation, deputies determined that everything was okay.

Deputies responded to the 300 block of North Lincoln Avenue in McClave for the report of a gas leak. Deputies assisted with evacuation of the building.

Deputies responded to the 700 block of 5th Street for a welfare check. Deputies determined that everything was okay.

Deputies received a call to respond to the 1000 block of county road GG for a disturbance. Deputies advised the parties to speak with the court clerk's office for a resolution. 

Deputies responded to the 700 block of Adams Street in Hasty for the report of a domestic issue. After further investigation, deputies determined that everything was okay.

Deputies responded to the 100 block of St Vrain Avenue for an ambulance assist. Deputies assisted EMS with the patient.

Deputies responded to the 200 block of Bent Ave on a report of an unwanted party. Deputies were unable to locate the unwanted party. 

Deputies responded to the 200 block of Elm Ave on a report of a burglary. Deputies were unable to locate that suspect. A warrant was written. 

Deputies responded to the 31000 block of CR 10.5 on a report of juvenile problems. Deputies investigated and found a solution that worked with all parties involved. 

Deputies responded to the 300 block of 4th St on the report of a stolen vehicle. Deputies are still investigating this incident. 

10/18/2022

Deputies responded to Highway 50 and Milepost 400 for the report of a reckless driver. Deputies were unable to locate the driver.

Deputies responded to the 900 block of Ash Avenue for the report of harassment. Deputies were able to come to an agreement with the involved individuals.

Deputies responded to the 300 block of Grand Avenue for the report of an unwanted party. Deputies temporarily restrained one male individual and assisted EMS with transporting him to the hospital for a mental health evaluation.

Deputies responded to the Las Animas Baseball Field for the report of suspicious activity. Deputies determined that everything was okay.

Deputies responded to the 1600 block of 6th Street for the report of a stolen vehicle. Deputies located the vehicle and returned it to its owner.

Deputies responded to the intersection of 3rd Street and Vine Avenue for the report of a welfare check. Deputies were unable to locate the individual.

Deputies responded to the 600 block of Bent Avenue for an animal call. Deputies were unable to pick up the animal.

Deputies responded to the 300 block of Grand Avenue for the report of suspicious activity. Deputies determined that everything was okay.

10/19/2022

Deputies responded to the 1200 block of Ambassador Thompson Ave on a report of a juvenile that needed a ride home. Deputies gave the party a ride home. 

Deputies responded to Highway 194 and Mile Marker 15 in Las Animas for the report of livestock on the road. Deputies were able to push the cows back in.

Deputies responded to 4th and Moore Avenue in Las Animas for the report of dog barking. Deputies were unable to find the dog.

Deputies responded to County Road 10 in Las Animas for the report of livestock on the road. Deputies were able to push the cows back in.

Deputies responded to Highway 194 and Mile Marker 15 in Las Animas for the report of livestock on the road. Deputies were able to push the cows back in.

Deputies responded to the 700 block of Park  Avenue in Las Animas for the report of harassment. Upon further investigation, deputies discovered the harassment happened a few years ago.

Deputies responded to the 300 block of Locust Avenue in Las Animas for the report of a missing child. Deputies were able to locate the child at church.

Deputies conducted a traffic stop on Highway 50 and Mile Marker 391 for not using a proper turn signal. Upon further investigation, deputies discovered the driver was under the influence. The individual was taken into custody, transported to the Bent County Jail and issued a citation for DUI.

Deputies responded to the 800 block of 2nd St. for an ambulance assist.  Deputies assisted ambulance personnel in loading the patient.

Deputies took a report from the Department of Social Services. Deputies are investigating.

10/20/2022

Deputies received a call to the 600 block of Ash Avenue for a possible burglary. Deputies determined everything to be okay.

Deputies received a call for a courtesy ride for one male party to Highway 50 and mile marker 391. Deputies took the male party and assisted him in getting his vehicle started. 

Deputies responded to the 500 block of Bent Avenue in Las Animas for a vehicle lockout. Deputies were able to unlock the vehicle.  

Deputies responded to the 300 block of Grand Ave for a report of harassment. Deputies spoke with the reporting party and are investigating.

Deputies responded to the 10000 block of Hwy 50 for a report of a fight. Deputies arrived and spoke with both parties and determined it was a verbal argument, and both parties came to a resolution to separate for the night.

10/21/2022

Deputies responded to the 100 block of 1st street in McClave for a burglar alarm. Deputies were advised by the alarm company to stand down due to the false alarm.

Deputies responded to the 31000 block of JJ in McClave for stolen property. Deputies were able to return the stolen items.

Deputies responded to the 1500 block of 6th Street for the report of an attempted auto theft.  Deputies are investigating.

Deputies responded to the 300 block of Bent Avenue for the report of theft. Deputies are investigating.

Deputies responded to the 28000 block of Highway 101 for the report of a stolen vehicle. Deputies are investigating.

Deputies responded to John Martin Reservoir to assist in searching for two persons. Both persons were located in La Junta.

Deputies responded to the 700 block of Garfield for the report of damaged property. Deputies are investigating.

Deputies responded to the 35000 block of County Road SS for V.I.N. Inspections.

Deputies responded to the 300 block of 4th St. to speak with a party about a stolen vehicle.  Deputies catalogued the vehicle as stolen.
