10/22/2022

Deputies responded to the 600 block of St Vrain Avenue for a report of a civil problem. Deputies advised the party it was a civil matter.

Deputies responded to the 400 block of Bent Avenue for a vehicle unlock. Deputies were able to get the car unlocked.

Deputies responded to the 900 block of 6th street for a possible structure fire. Deputies found no fire.

Deputies responded to 1000 clock of Ash avenue for a traffic accident. One person was transported to the hospital with minor injuries.

Deputies responded to the 5000 block of Highway 50 for a medical assist. Deputies helped lift the patient.

Deputies responded to County Road 10 and JJ for livestock on the road. Deputies pushed the cows back in.

Deputies responded to the 1500 block of 6th street for a verbal arrangement. Deputies found it to be a family matter.  

Deputies responded to the 400 block of Ambassador Thompson Blvd for a report of a two-vehicle crash.  Deputies arrived and one party was issued a traffic citation.

Deputies responded to the 300 block of Vine Ave for a report of a juvenile problem. Deputies arrived and spoke with the juveniles involved and will be sending the case to the District Attorney office to review.

Deputies responded to the 300 block of Maple Ave for a report of a juvenile issue. Deputies arrived and spoke with the parties involved, and the juvenile was returned to her parents.

Deputies responded to the 600 block of Ash Ave for a report of suspicious activity.  When deputies arrived, they spoke with the parties inside the residence, and they had permission from the resident to be inside the house.

10/23/2022

Deputies responded to the 400 block of 6th St for a report of an assault. Deputies spoke with the parties involved and are investigating.

Deputies responded to the 400 block of 6th St for a report of a hit and run with a pedestrian.  Deputies arrived and are currently investigating.

Deputies were notified to respond to the 700 block of Vine Ave for what sounded like a fight in progress. When deputies arrived, they spoke with the parties involved and are investigating.

Deputies were on patrol and noticed a car parked near the 200 block of Bent Ave and initiated a traffic stop. One party was taken into custody for an active warrant, and new charges were filed.

Deputies responded to the 100 block of 9th Street for a public service call. Deputies assisted the individual.

Deputies responded to the intersection of 3rd Street and Bent Avenue for the report of a dog on the highway. Deputies were not able to capture the dog.

Deputies responded to the 300 block of Ash Avenue for a welfare check. Deputies determined that everything was okay.

Deputies received a call about trespassing at the 1000 block of County Road G. The individuals involved were able to come to an agreement.

Deputies responded to the 400 block of Oakland Avenue for an animal call. Deputies were unable to locate the animal.

Deputies responded to the 300 block of Bent Avenue for the report of a dog bite. Deputies took one pit bull to the Las Animas Dog Pound.

Deputies responded to the 900 block of Locust Avenue for the report of a mental subject. Deputies talked to the individual.

Deputies responded to the 900 block of Locust Ave for a welfare check. All parties involved were okay. 

10/24/2022

Deputies responded to the Las Animas Baseball Fields for the report of suspicious activity. Deputies determined that everything was okay.

Deputies responded to the intersection of North Star Lane and Bent Avenue for the report of livestock on the highway. Deputies returned the livestock to its pasture.

Deputies responded to the 300 block of 6th Street for a vehicle lockout. Deputies were able to unlock the vehicle.

Deputies responded to the 700 block of Bent Avenue for the report of theft. Deputies are investigating.

Deputies responded to the 500 block of 3rd Street for the report of suspicious activity. Deputies determined that there was no suspicious activity.

Deputies responded to the 1200 block of 6th Street for the report of an animal attack. Deputies transported one dog to the Las Animas Dog Pound.

Deputies responded to the 600 block of Ash Avenue for the report of a welfare check. Deputies determined that everything was okay.

Deputies responded to the 100 block of Moore Ave on a report of a noise complaint. The parties agreed to bring dogs inside the house. 

Deputies responded to the 200 block of St. Vrain Ave on a report of a party starting a fire. Deputies had the individual extinguish the flames. The party was found to have a warrant and was taken into custody.  

Deputies responded to the 600 block of Grove Ave on a report of a 911 hang-up. Deputies found this to be a domestic problem. 

10/25/2022

Deputies responded to the 400 block of 1st St. on a report of suspicious activity. Deputies were unable to locate anyone in the area. 

Deputies responded to the 500 block of Poplar Avenue for an ambulance assist. Deputies assisted ambulance personnel.

Deputies responded to the 100 block of Vigil Avenue for the report of a juvenile issue. Deputies were able to get the issue resolved.

Deputies responded to the 10000 block of Highway 50 for a welfare check. Deputies found everything to be okay. 

Deputies responded to the 100 block of Locust Ave on a report of an unwanted party. Deputies found this to be a civil issue and the parties found a solution to the issue. 

10/26/2022

Deputies responded to the 10000 block of Highway 50 for a welfare check. After investigating, deputies determined that everything was okay.

Deputies responded to the 200 block of Carson Avenue for the report of a traffic accident. Deputies took a report.

Deputies responded to the 300 block of St Vrain Avenue for the report of a family disturbance. After further investigation, the individuals were able to come to an agreement.

Deputies responded to the 1000 block of Maple Avenue for an animal call. Deputies transported one dog to the Las Animas Dog Pound.

Deputies responded to Highway 194 and Milepost 16 for the report of suspicious activity. Deputies contacted one male individual and discovered that he had a warrant. Deputies transported that individual to the Bent County Jail.

Deputies responded to Highway 50 and CR 33 to assist a motorist. The vehicle was helped back onto the highway. 

Deputies responded to the 10000 block of Maple Ave to assist the ambulance. The patient was loaded and transported to the hospital in La Junta. 

Deputies responded to the area of 5th St and Garfield Ave on a report of animals fighting. Deputies were unable to locate any aggressive animals in the area. 

Deputies responded to CR EE and CR 10 on a report of an injured dog. Deputies located the owner of the dog, and the owner took custody of the animal. 

10/27/2022

Deputies responded to the 400 block of 6th St on a report of a party that had too much to drink. Deputies evaluated the situation and medical was called. The party was transported to the hospital in La Junta. 

Deputies responded to the 1200 block of 9th St for a property watch report. Deputies spoke with the reporting party and will have an address added to the property watch.

10/28/2022

Deputies responded to the 700 block of Vine Ave for a report of Suspicious Activity.  Deputies were unable to locate any suspicious activity.

Deputies responded to the 400 block of Locust for a funeral escort.

Deputies responded to the 100 block of Vigil Ave for an ambulance assist. Deputies assisted ambulance personnel load the patient.

Deputies responded to the area of 3rd and Moore Ave for a report of a dog at large. Deputies arrived and were unable to locate the dog.
