Obituary

Ron Martinez, 64, passed away on Wednesday, November 2nd. Ron was born on March 16, 1958 to Joe and Alice Martinez. After graduating from Rocky Ford High School, he married his high school sweetheart, Cynthia, on August 29th, 1977 and they were inseparable ever after. Ron worked as a maintenance man, mechanic, corrections officer, and other odd jobs. He was a man of many skills and hobbies including working on cars and bikes before going cruising with them. He loved camping, fishing, and all things outdoors. He enjoyed spending time inside playing games and watching movies as well. He enjoyed passing along his knowledge and passions to his family and as long as he was with them, he was happy. He was stoutly devoted to both his family and to God.

Ron is survived by his sons and daughter in law, Adam, Kendal and Maria Martinez, sister Debra (Richard) Gobin, brother Jerry Martinez, sister-in-law Jamileh Miller, grandchildren Ariana Martinez, Lauren Martinez, Alanah Martinez, Aedan Martinez, Dylan Martinez, and Adam Martinez, nieces Tracy Maes, Tana Lopez, Kimberly Valenciano, Andrea Martinez, Stephanie Maldonado, and Grace Miller, and nephews Greg Gobin, and Tristan Miller.

Ron was preceded in death by his wife Cindy Martinez, his parents Joe and Alice Martinez, son Alan Martinez, nephew Donald Pettie, brother Lou Martinez, sister Linda Valenciano, brother-in-law Mark Miller, father-in-law Stanley Miller, and mother-in-law Marilyn Miller.
