11/19/2022

Deputies responded to the intersection of Highway 196 and County Road 34 for the report of an abandoned vehicle. Deputies "Red-Tagged" the vehicle.

Deputies responded to the 700 block of Poplar for the report of a scam. Deputies provided the reporting party with the information requested.

Deputies responded to the 300 block of 6th Street for the report of a suspicious person. Deputies determined everything was okay.

Deputies responded to the 100 block of 11th Street for the report of an injured Golden Eagle.  Deputies were unable to locate the animal.

Deputies responded to the 300 block of Vigil Ave for a report of animal cruelty. Deputies spoke with the reporting party and are investigating.

11/20/2022

Deputies responded to the 11000 block of County Road FF.75 for a vehicle unlock. Deputies unlocked the vehicle.

Deputies responded to the 700 block of Grand Ave for a report of suspicious activity. Deputies arrived and checked around the property and were not able to locate any suspicious activity.

Deputies responded to the 500 block of 5th Street for a report of damaged property. Deputies spoke with the reporting party and are investigating.

Deputies responded to the 800 block of Ambassador Thompson in Las Animas for a report of a civil problem. Deputies were unable to locate any one.  

Deputies responded to the 100 block of North Bent Avenue for the report of a hitchhiker. Deputies trespassed the individual from the property.

Deputies responded to the intersection of 3rd Street and Maple Avenue for the report of a motorist assist. Deputies assisted the motorist.

Deputies responded to the 500 block of Poplar Avenue for a civil standby. Deputies determined that everything was okay.

Deputies responded to Highway 50 and Milepost 397 for the report of a traffic hazard. Deputies determined that everything was okay.

Deputies responded to Highway 50 and milepost 397 on a report of a reckless driver. Deputies were unable to locate the driver. 

11/22/2022

Deputies responded to the 300 block of East 6th Street for the report of horses on the road. Deputies assisted the owners with their horses.

Deputies responded to the 700 block of Moore Avenue for the report of a vehicle blocking a driveway. Deputies were unable to locate the vehicle owner.

Deputies responded to the 200 block of Vigil Avenue for the report of an ambulance assist. Deputies assisted EMS with the patient.

Deputies responded to the intersection of 4th Street and Garfield Avenue for the report of theft. Deputies took a witness statement.

Deputies responded to the 900 block of Grand Avenue for the report of a medical alarm. Deputies determined it was a false alarm.

Deputies responded to the 300 block of Ambassador Thompson Boulevard for the report of someone loitering on the property. Deputies were unable to locate anyone.

Deputies responded to Highway 50 and Milepost 398 for the report of a hitch hiker that built a fire. Deputies put the fire out.

Deputies responded to the 300 block of East 6th St on a report of a suspicious vehicle. Deputies were unable to locate the vehicle.

Deputies responded to the 300 block of Vigil Ave on a report of a family disturbance. Parties agreed to separate for the night.

Deputies responded to the 1000 block of Grand Ave on a report of a dog attack. Deputies placed two dogs in the pound for a ten day quarantine. Deputies issued a summons.

Deputies responded to the 900 block of 5th St. to assist the ambulance. The party was loaded and taken to the hospital in La Junta. 

11/23/2022

Deputies responded to the 600 block of St Vrain Avenue for a welfare check. Deputies determined that everything was okay.

Deputies responded to Highway 50 and Milepost 399 for the report of a reckless driver. Deputies determined that everything was okay.

Deputies received a statement at the Bent County Sheriff's Office for the report of fraud. Deputies took a statement.

Deputies responded to the 700 block of Grand Avenue for the report of fraud. Deputies took a statement.

Deputies responded to the 500 block of Lincoln Ave on a report of a burglary. Deputies are investigating this incident.

11/24/2022

Deputies received a call to Highway 101 and mile marker 6 for an abandoned vehicle. Deputies determined the vehicle had a flat tire and the owner was coming back to move it. 

Deputies responded to the 30000 block of County Road 10 for a report of a suspicious person. Deputies were unable to locate any suspicious person or activity.

Deputies responded to the area of Hwy 50 and MM 393 for a report of a reckless driver. Deputies were unable to locate the suspected vehicle.

Deputies observed a party in the 400 block of Ambassador Thompson Blvd with an active arrest warrant. Deputies took the party into custody and transported the party to the Bent County Jail.

11/25/2022

Deputies responded to the 400 block of Maple Ave for an ambulance assist. Deputies assisted ambulance personnel.

Deputies received a call to Highway 50 and mile marker 391 for a vehicle speeding. Deputies were unable to locate the vehicle. 

Deputies responded to the 1000 block of Ambassador Thompson Blvd for a report of a welfare check. Deputies spoke with the party and determined everything was okay.

Deputies responded to the 700 block of Grand Ave for a report of suspicious activity. Deputies searched the area and were unable to locate any suspicious activity or suspicious person.

Deputies responded to the 300 block of 8th St for a report of a suspicious person. Deputies searched the area and were unable to locate any suspicious person or activity.

Deputies responded to the area of County Road 13.5 and County Road FF.5 for a report of motorist assistance. Deputies arrived and found that the party left before deputies arrived.
