Obituary

Harold Ross Vance, 84, of La Junta, passed away on December 7, 2022, at the Memorial Hospital in Colorado Springs. He was born in Akron to LaDene & Ellen Elizabeth (Ross) Vance on April 10, 1938.

Harold worked for Mountain Bell for 30 years; Continental Airlines for 10 years and the Coal Creek Fire Department for 20 years.

He enjoyed building rideable model trains. He loved spending time with his family and loved all his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Harold will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Ruth Ann of the La Junta home; children, Robert (Cheryl) Vance of Oklahoma; Ronette (Lee) Swank of Florida; Richard Vance of Kentucky; nine grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and one sister.

Celebration of Life service will be Saturday, December 10, 2022, at 3:00 p.m. at the First Church of the Nazarene in La Junta with Pastor Mark Callister officiating.
