Obituary

Peggy Louise Horn, 77, passed away on December 16, 2022, at her La Junta home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on January 28, 1945, in La Junta to Albert & Bertha (Robbins) Will.

She was a loving mother and grandmother. She will always be remembered for responding with “love you more” to her children and grandchildren and was always there when you needed her. Our loss is Heaven’s gain.

Peggy married Joshua Horn in 1963 and later divorced. From this union, they had three children, Paige, Alan and Ronda.

Peggy had several jobs over the years; selling Avon; a cook for the Jr. High School; the office manager at Kleins Supermarket, later Ringo’s; and a bank teller at Colorado Bank and Trust. She made many wedding and birthday cakes for family and friends and had a silly side to her that will be greatly missed. She enjoyed the simple things in life, such as a picnic in the park with her family; listening to country music; and her cup of coffee on her porch swing with her fur babies.

She is survived by her children; Paige Horn of La Junta; Joshua Alan (Lucinda) Horn of Cheraw; Ronda Yochum of La Junta. Grandchildren; Brody (Erica) Horn; Cortney (Micheal) Rouille, all of Cheraw; Bailee Yochum; Drew Yochum, both of La Junta. Great grandchildren; Mason Chavez of La Junta; Tatum Horn of Cheraw; sister, Jean Eveatt of La Junta; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; Albert Will; Bertha Samuelson; sisters, Anna Will and Marlene Stephens. Marlene passing only three months prior.

Memorial services will be Wednesday, December 21, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at Peacock Memorial Chapel with Pastor John Dell of the First Christian Church in Rocky Ford officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to Arkansas Valley Hospice, PO Box 408, La Junta, CO direct or through the funeral home.

Online condolences may be made at www.peacockFH.com. Peacock-Larsen Funeral Home & Arkansas Valley Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
