12/3/2022

Deputies responded to the 400 block of Ambassador Thompson for a report of a domestic dispute. Deputies spoke with all parties involved and the parties agreed it was a civil matter.

Deputies received a call for a phone found at the 13000 block of County Road HH. Deputies located the owner and returned the phone. 

Deputies received a call to the 100 block of Locust Avenue for an alarm. Deputies determined it to be a false alarm. 

Deputies received a call to 9th and Locust Avenue for a suspicious person. Deputies determined the item to not be a person and cleared the area. 

Deputies responded to the 30000 block of County Road 15 for an agency assist. Deputies spoke with the reporting party and took the party’s statement and will forward it to the outside agency.

Deputies received a call to the 100 block of Vigil Avenue for a burglary alarm. Deputies spoke with the key holder and determined it was a false alarm.

Deputies responded to the 300 block of Bent Ave for a vehicle unlock. Deputies unlocked the vehicle.

Deputies responded to the 1000 block of Carson Ave for an ambulance assist. Deputies assisted ambulance personnel load the patient.

Deputies responded to the 30000 block of County Road 14.9 for an ambulance assist. Deputies assisted ambulance personnel load the patient.

12/4/2022

Deputies responded to the intersection of County Road 32 and County Road JJ for the report of an ambulance assist. Deputies assisted EMS.

Deputies responded to the 200 block of 6th Street for the report of an ambulance assist. Deputies assisted EMS.

Deputies received a call for a reckless driver on Highway 50 and mile marker 389. While patrolling to the area, deputies did not observe any vehicles matching the description. 

Deputies were contacted by Colorado State Patrol to contact a male party who resides at the 300 block of Elm Avenue. Deputies were advised that the male party was not home and relayed the info to CSP.

Deputies received a call to the 600 block of Grand Avenue for a theft. Deputies advised the landlord that it was a civil issue and to speak with the court clerk at the courthouse. 

Deputies received a call to assist the ambulance at the 300 block of Cottonwood Avenue. Deputies assisted the ambulance. 

12/5/2022

Deputies responded to the 100 block of Vigil Avenue for an ambulance assist. Deputies assisted EMS.

Deputies responded to the 500 block of 10th Street for the report of a structure fire. Deputies were later informed that the fire was caused by a faulty electrical outlet.

Deputies responded to the 500 block of Bent Avenue for the report of a civil issue. Deputies came to an agreement with the individual.

Deputies responded to the 600 block of St Vrain Avenue for the report of a civil issue. Deputies explained that the issue was civil.

Deputies responded to East 5th Street for the report of an unwanted party. After further investigation, deputies determined that the issue was civil.

Deputies responded to the 400 block of Maple Avenue for an ambulance assist. Deputies assisted EMS.

Deputies responded to the 300 block of 6th Street for the report of a traffic crash. Deputies took a report.

Deputies responded to the 1300 block of County Road GG for the report of an unwanted party. Deputies determined that the situation was civil.

Deputies responded to the area of 8th Street between Ash  Ave and Carson Ave on a report of a reckless driver. Deputies were unable to locate the vehicle. 

Deputies responded to the 100 block South River Street in Hasty on a report of a party that failed to register as a sex offender. Deputies found that the party in question no longer lives in the area. 

Deputies responded to the 600 block of 2nd street to assist the ambulance. The party was loaded and taken to the hospital in La Junta. 

Deputies responded to the 200 block of Locust Ave to assist the ambulance. Deputies helped to load the party and they were transported to the hospital in La Junta.

Deputies responded to the 500 block of Poplar Ave on a report of a burglary. Deputies investigated and found this to be a false alarm.  

12/6/2022

Deputies responded to the 900 block of Ash Avenue for the report of dogs on the loose. Deputies were unable to locate the dogs.

Deputies responded to the 400 block of Maple Avenue for the report of a family disturbance. After further investigation, deputies determined that there were no criminal actions.

Deputies responded to the 700 block of Grand Avenue for the report of threats. After further investigation, the individual decided to handle the situation civilly. 

Deputies responded to the 300 block of Maple Avenue for the report of an assault. Deputies took a report.

Deputies responded to the 200 block of Grand Avenue for the report of a vehicle lockout. Deputies unlocked the vehicle.

Deputies responded to the 300 block of Grand Avenue for the report of a civil issue. Deputies explained that the issue is civil.

Deputies responded to the intersection of Highway 50 and County Road 16 for the report of a suspicious person. Deputies determined that everything was okay.

Deputies responded to the 400 block of Ambassador Thompson for a report of a disturbance. Deputies responded and spoke with the parties and informed them they would have to talk to their card issuer to solve their problem.

Deputies responded to the 1,700 block of South School Street for a welfare check. Deputies were unable to locate the parties for the welfare check.

Deputies responded to the 900 block of Ambassador Thompson for a burglary alarm. Deputies checked the residence and everything appeared to be secure.

Deputies responded to the 200 block of 6th St. for suspicious activity. Deputies checked the residence, and everything appeared to be secure.

12/7/2022

Deputies responded to the 1,100 block of 10th St. for a report of a burglary. Deputies spoke with the homeowners and determined nothing was stolen.

Deputies responded to the 500 block of Ambassador Thompson Boulevard for the report of a burglary alarm. After further investigation, deputies determined that it was a false alarm.

Deputies responded to the 300 block of Grove avenue for a report of harassment. Deputies took statements from both parties involved.

Deputies responded to the 1,100 block of County Road GG.5 for a custody issue. Deputies spoke with the reporting party, explained the process, and told the party to speak with the courts.

12/8/2022

Deputies spoke with a party over the phone about possible theft. After deputies spoke with the party, they did not want to pursue charges, and wanted a civil standby to collect their belongings.

Deputies were dispatched to Highway 50 at milepost 416 for the report of a dangerous driver.  Deputies determined the reckless vehicle was on Highway 287 and not Highway 50 and the vehicle was not in Bent County.

Deputies responded to the 900 block of Ash Avenue for the report of dogs at large. Deputies were unable to locate the dogs.

Deputies responded to the 900 block of Grand Avenue for an ambulance call.  Deputies assisted with the patient.

Deputies spoke with a citizen on the phone regarding shopping carts being left in the alley near his house.

Deputies responded to the 100 block of East 5th Street for the report of dogs at large. Deputies spoke with the owner and she moved the dogs into the house and will fix the hole in the fence.

Deputies responded to the 900 block of 4th Street for the report of a reckless driver.  Deputies spoke with the driver and did not observe any reckless act.

Deputies responded to the 300 block of Grand Avenue for the report of Protection Order Violation.  Deputies determined there was no Protection Order in place but that it is in the process.

Deputies responded to the 400 block of Maple Avenue for an ambulance call. Deputies assisted with the patient.

Deputies received a call to the 600 block of Ash Avenue for a call of juveniles harassing her dogs. Deputies advised the female party that the day shift would do more patrols during school hours.

Deputies received a call to the 400 block of Ash Avenue for a welfare check. Before arriving at the residence, deputies were advised the father had made contact and everything was okay. 

While patrolling near 5th street and Bent Avenue, Deputies were flagged down by a male party. The male party stated he was threatened and had his phone stolen. Deputies gave the male party a statement form to fill out about the incident. Deputies will be investigating. 

Deputies received a call to Highway 101 and mile marker 2 for a vehicle versus deer. Upon arrival, deputies determined no damage to the vehicle was made. 

Deputies received a call to check the welfare of a male party at the 31000 block of county road 10.5. Deputies were unable to make contact but will go back on the next shift to make contact. 

12/9/2022

Deputies received a call to the 100 block of Vigil Avenue for a burglary alarm. Deputies determined everything to be okay. 

Deputies responded to the 11,000 block of County Road FF .75 for a vehicle unlock.  Deputies were successful.

Deputies responded to the 400 block of 6th Street for the report of a vehicle blocking a fire hydrant.  Deputies requested the owner to move his vehicle. 

Deputies responded to Highway 50 near County Road 5.5 to assist Colorado State Patrol with cattle on the highway. Deputies assisted with getting the livestock off the roadway.

Deputies received a call about a cold assault from AVRMC in La Junta. Deputies investigated and wrote an arrest warrant. 

Deputies responded to the 30,000 block of CR 10 to assist the ambulance. The party did not gain consciousness.
