Big Bear Septic Service Donates Christmas Meals for Veterans to American Legion Post #9

The Charles E. McFarland American Legion Post #9 of La Junta received food boxes from Big Bear Septic Service to deliver to area veterans and their families for Christmas.

La Junta Post Commander Mike Brodeur, Angie Davis and Otero and Bent County Veterans Service Officer Rick Ward accepted the food boxes, which included a turkey, sides and dessert.

Brodeur said the Christmas dinners were delivered to Veterans in La Junta, Cheraw and Rocky Ford on Wednesday afternoon as part of the post's annual food box fundraiser for local veterans.

SECO News spoke with William Bernstrauch about his new business and his donation to support area veteran families.

"Big bear septic became an idea three years ago," Bernstrauch said, "and with support from my family it finally became a reality this year."

Based out of Swink, Colorado Big Bear Septic Service offers septic tank pumping and serves Otero, Bent and Crowley Counties.

To schedule their services call William at (719) 469-5799.

We would like to thank this new Southeast Colorado owned business for their support of our veteran community.
