12/10/2022

Deputies responded to the 100 block of Vigil Ave on a report of a burglary alarm. Deputies found this to be a false alarm. 

Deputies responded to the 30,000 block of County Road 10 for a vehicle unlock.  Deputies were successful.

Deputies responded to the 300 block of 6th Street for a vehicle unlock. Deputies were unable to locate the vehicle. Deputies were informed that the owner was able to get into the vehicle prior to deputy arrival.

Deputies responded to the 500 block of Poplar Avenue for a burglar alarm. Deputies determined it to be a false alarm.

Deputies responded to the 1100 block of 5th Street for an unwanted person with active warrants.  One person fled the residence. One adult male was taken into custody on outstanding warrants.

Deputies responded to the 300 block of 3rd Street for a vehicle unlock. Deputies successfully unlocked the vehicle.

Deputies responded to the 500 block of Bent Avenue for a burglar alarm. Deputies determined everything was secure and the alarm was a false alarm.

Deputies responded to the 300 block of Locust for a welfare check. Deputies determined everything was okay.

Deputies responded to the 500 block of Carson Ave on a report of suspicious activity. Deputies investigated and were unable to locate anybody involved. 

12/11/2022

Deputies conducted a motorist assist on Highway 50 near county road 24. One adult was taken into custody for a warrant.

Deputies responded to the 400 block of Maple Avenue for the report of a welfare check. Deputies determined that everything was okay.

Deputies responded to the intersection of Highway 50 and county road 36 for the report of a motorist assist. Deputies were unable to locate the motorist.

Deputies responded to the 300 block of Locust Avenue for the report of a cold burglary. Deputies took a statement.

Deputies responded to the 1500 block of West 6th Street for the report of damaged property. Deputies determined that everything was okay.

Deputies responded to Highway 50 and Milepost 426 for the report of a traffic problem. Deputies directed traffic.

12/12/2022

Deputies responded to the 600 block of Maple Avenue for the report of property damage. Deputies took a report.

Deputies responded to the 700 block of Carson Avenue for the report of theft. Deputies took a report.

Deputies responded to the 30000 block of County Road 10 for the report of a dog on the loose. Deputies determined that everything was okay.

Deputies responded to the 30000 block of County Road 15 in Fort Lyon for the report of an ambulance assist. Deputies assisted EMS.

Deputies responded to the 700 block of 5th Street for the report of a 911 hang up. Deputies determined that everything was okay.

Deputies received a call over the phone about a male party that they did not want on their property. Deputies contacted the male party by phone and advised him that he was trespassed from the property. 

12/13/2022

Deputies responded to Highway 50 and milepost 417 on a report of a vehicle stalled in the middle of the highway. Deputes were unable to locate the vehicle.

Deputies responded to Highway 50 at mile post 415 for a slide off. Deputies determined everyone was okay and the driver was waiting for a tow.

Deputies responded to the 34000 block of County Road HH for the report of a boat in the roadway. Deputies assisted with moving the boat off of the road.

Deputies responded to the 1000 block of Grove Avenue for the report of dogs on the loose. Deputies were unable to locate the dogs.

Deputies responded to the intersection of Highway 50 and County Road 17 for the report of a vehicle slide off. Deputies determined that everything was okay.

Deputies responded to the 300 block of 6th Street to trespass one male individual from the property. Deputies trespassed the individual.

Deputies responded to the 300 block of 6th Street for the report of an animal call. Deputies determined that everything was okay.

Deputies responded to the intersection of Highway 50 and County Road 17 for an agency assist. Deputies shut down that section of Highway 50 to assist the other agency.

Deputies responded to the 400 block of Ambassador Thompson Blvd. for a welfare check. Deputies investigated and found everything to be okay. 

Deputies responded to the 700 block of 3rd street on a report of an unwanted party. Deputies explained to the individual that this was a civil matter. 

12/14/2022

Deputies responded to Highway 194 and milepost 16 on a report of a motorist assist. Deputies assisted the motorist and got them back on the road. 

Deputies conducted a traffic stop on North Bent Avenue. Deputies issued a summons for careless driving and driving on a revoked license.

Deputies assisted the Colorado State Patrol with a single vehicle accident on Highway 50 at approximately milepost 400.

Deputies responded to Highway 50 at mile post 406 for a dangerous driver. Deputies conducted a traffic stop. Deputies issued the driver a warning for swerving.

Deputies responded to the 31000 block of Highway 183 for the report of theft. Deputies determined that there was no indication of theft or other criminal activity.

Deputies responded to the 700 block of Vine Avenue for the report of dogs at large. Deputies were unable to catch the dog.

Deputies responded to the 700 block of 6th St for a welfare check. Deputies spoke with the parties, and determined everything was okay.

Deputies responded to the 31000 block of County Road 7 for an ambulance call. Deputies assisted with patient care.

Deputies responded to the 1700 block of 8th St. for a report of an animal attack. Deputies spoke with the reporting party and were unable to locate the suspected dog.

Deputies responded to the 500 block of Bent Ave for a burglary alarm. Deputies checked the business, and determined everything was okay. The keyholder arrived and reset the alarm. 

Deputies went to the 700 block of Adams St for paper service. Deputies posted the paper service for the occupants.

Deputies responded to the 100 block of Locust Avenue for an ambulance call. Deputies assisted with the patient.

Deputies responded to the area of Hwy 50 and Hwy 194 for a report of three dogs on the highway. Deputies arrived and were unable to locate the dogs.

12/15/2022

Deputies responded to the area of 2nd Street and Poplar Avenue for a road hazard. Deputies made contact with the driver and were informed that her vehicle had died on the way to work. Deputies were able to get her vehicle out of the roadway.

Deputies were notified of a welfare check in the 12000 block of Hwy 101. Deputies were unable to locate the party, but the party called in and stated that they were okay.

Deputies assisted Core-Civic with traffic control during helicopter operations at their facility.

Deputies responded to the 30000 block of County Road 10 for the report of dogs in the cold.  Deputies determined the dogs had food, water and shelter.

Deputies responded to Highway 50 near County Road 8.25 for the report of a juvenile walking along the highway. Deputies were unable to locate anyone walking along the roadway.

Deputies responded to the alley of 6th Street and Locust Avenue for dogs in the cold. Deputies determined the dogs had food, water and access to shelter.

Deputies were notified by AVRMC of an animal attack. Deputies were unable to locate the party, or contact the party.

Deputies responded to the 300 block of Grove Ave for a report of a burglary alarm. Deputies checked the property, and determined everything was okay.

12/16/2022

Deputies responded to the 300 block of 5th Street for a lift assist. Deputies assisted with lifting the individual.

A female individual turned herself into the Bent County jail with an active warrant. Jail deputies booked the female party in.

Deputies responded to the 100 block of East 5th Street for the report of dogs at large. Deputies were unable to locate the dogs.

Deputies responded to 1st Street between Vigil and St. Vrain for the report of shots fired. Deputies spoke to the reporting party and other citizens who were outside. Deputies were unable to find any signs of firearms being used.

Deputies responded to the area of the football field for a reported stolen vehicle. Deputies searched the area and were unable to locate any stolen vehicles.

Deputies responded to the 300 block of 6th St. for an ambulance assist. Deputies assisted ambulance staff load the patient.

Deputies responded to the area of 6th St. and Vigil Ave for a suspicious person. Deputies arrived and were unable to locate any suspicious person or activity.

Deputies responded to the 400 block of Vigil for a dog at large. Deputies spoke with the reporting party and informed them we were unable to place the puppy into the City Dog Pound and they would need to contact an animal shelter.

Deputies responded to the 900 block of Carson Ave on an attempt to locate a wanted party. Deputies were unable to locate the party.
