Lina Mae Rector, 79, of La Junta, went to be with the Lord on December 24, 2022 who was surrounded by her loving family. She was born June 4, 1943 in Corvallis, Oregon to Warren and Viola Currey.

She married Michael Rector in Nebraska in 1963 and they had 3 children, Bill, Dawn and Shannon. They moved to Swink in 1976 where she later moved to La Junta. She worked at Dutton Chiropractic for 36 years until she retired in January 2022. She was a very simple lady who loved her children and grandchildren and would do anything for them. She spent her time with her cats Daisy and Noni. She also enjoyed watching football games; especially the Nebraska Cornhuskers! She enjoyed getting her hair and nails done or just sitting having coffee or talking to the neighbor. She is loved by many and will be missed.

Lina Mae is survived by her children, Bill Rector, Dawn (Scott) Helgeson, and Shannon (Jeff) Casillas; brother, Doyle (Christine) Currey; ten grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and extended family and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Warren & Viola Currey, and her sister, LeDean Ramsey.

Funeral services will be January 6, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at Peacock Memorial Chapel with Pastor Mike Beecham officiating.
