12/17/2022

Deputies responded to the 300 block of Lois for an ambulance call.  Deputies assisted with the patient.

Deputies conducted a welfare check on the 100 block of Moore Avenue. Deputies determined everything was okay.

Deputies responded to the 30000 block of County Road 15 for a report of theft. Deputies spoke with the party and determined it to be a civil matter.

12/18/2022

Deputies responded to the 200 block of Carson Avenue for the report of theft. Deputies took a report.

Deputies responded to the 300 block of Elm Avenue for the report of found property. Deputies were unable to locate the property.

Deputies responded to the 1000 hundred block of East 5th Street for the report of an animal call. Deputies determined that everything was okay.

Deputies responded to the 600 block of 2nd Street for the report of an ambulance assist. Deputies assisted EMS.

Deputies responded to the intersection of 8th Street and Grand Avenue for the report of a suspicious vehicle. Deputies were unable to locate the vehicle.

Deputies responded to the 300 block of 6th Street for the report of an animal locked in a vehicle. Deputies determined that everything was okay.

Deputies responded to the 1000 block of Maple Ave on a report of a 911 misdial. Deputies found everything to be okay. 

Deputies responded to the 30000 block of CR 15 to assist the ambulance. Deputies had to leave for another car before the patient was loaded. 

Deputies responded to the 1000 block of CR GG to assist the ambulance. The patient was loaded and transported to the hospital in La Junta. 

Deputies responded to the 400 block of Vigil Ave to assist the ambulance. The patient was loaded and transported to the hospital in La Junta. 

12/19/2022

Deputies responded to the 400 block of Ambassador Thompson Blvd on a report of a party who had a warrant. Deputies took the party into custody. 

Deputies responded to the intersection of Highway 50 and County road 14 for the report of livestock on the highway. Deputies returned the livestock to its pasture.

Deputies responded to the 1000 hundred block of East 5th Street for the report of a civil issue. Deputies explained that the issue is civil.

Deputies responded to the 700 block of McAfee Avenue for the report of an animal call. Deputies determined that everything was okay.

Deputies responded to the intersection of 10th Street and Elm Avenue for the report of a suspicious person with a warrant. Deputies arrested one male individual and transported him to the Bent County Jail.

Deputies received a call to the 1000 block of Grand Avenue for a loose dog. Deputies were unable to locate the animal upon arrival. 

Deputies responded to the 200 block of 6th Street for the report of an unwanted party. Deputies determined that it was a civil issue.

Deputies responded to the 1000 block of Grand Avenue for the report of dogs on the loose. Deputies were unable to locate the dogs.

Deputies responded to the 1000 hundred block of Ambassador Thompson Boulevard for the report of theft. After further investigation, deputies determined that it was a civil issue.

Deputies responded to the 300 block of 4th Street for the report of a suspicious vehicle. After further investigation, deputies discovered that the vehicle was stolen. Deputies transported one female and two male individuals to the Bent County Jail.

Deputies responded to the 400 block of Bent Ave on a report of theft. Deputies investigated and parties involved came to an agreement. 

Deputies responded to the 500 block of Ambassador Thompson Blvd on a report of a burglary alarm. Deputies found this to be a false alarm.

Deputies responded to the 30000 block of CR 15 to assist the ambulance. The party was loaded and transported to the hospital in La Junta. 

12/20/2022

Deputies contacted a vehicle on Highway 101 and CR A that was driving dangerously. Deputies discovered that the driver required medical treatment. The party was loaded in the ambulance and transported to the hospital in La Junta. 

Deputies responded to the 26000 block of County Road 9.5 for the report of a traffic crash. Deputies assisted Colorado State Patrol.

Deputies responded to the 600 block of Ambassador Thompson Boulevard for the report of an ambulance assist. Deputies assisted EMS.

Deputies responded to the 1000 block of Grand Avenue for the report of dogs on the loose. Deputies located the dogs and returned them to their owner.

Deputies responded to the 11000 block of County road GG.5 for the report of a possible violation of a protection order. Deputies determined that everything was okay.

Deputies responded to the intersection of Highway 50 and County Road 8.5 for the report of an abandoned vehicle. Deputies had the vehicle towed.

Deputies responded to the 300 block of Grand Ave on a report of harassment. Deputies are investigating this.

Deputies responded to the 1200 block of 9th St on a report of suspicious activity. Deputies were unable to find any activity.

Deputies responded to the 700 block of Grand Ave on a report of suspicious activity. Deputies were unable to locate the activity reported.

Deputies responded to the intersection of 5th Street and Grove Avenue for the report of a suspicious vehicle. Deputies determined that everything was okay.

12/21/2022

Deputies responded to the 1000 block of Cottonwood Ave on a report of a suspicious vehicle. Deputies towed the vehicle. 

Deputies responded to the 1000 block of Cottonwood Ave on a report of an abandoned vehicle. Deputies took one party into custody on a warrant. 

Deputies responded to the 400 block of 3rd Street for the report of a burglar alarm. Deputies determined that everything was okay.

Deputies responded to the 1000 block of 4th Street for the report of an assault. Deputies took a report.

Deputies responded to the 300 block of Maple Avenue for the report of a property watch. Deputies agreed to watch the property.

Deputies responded to the 600 block of Carson Avenue for the report of an agency assist. Deputies assisted the agency.

Deputies responded to the 600 block of Ash Avenue for the report of an unwanted party. Deputies determined that the situation is a civil issue.

Deputies responded to the 1000 hundred block of East 5th Street for the report of a civil issue. Deputies determined that the issue is civil.

Deputies responded to the 900 block of 4th Street for the report of a vehicle lockout. Deputies unlocked the vehicle.

Deputies responded to the 1800 block of Ambassador Thompson Blvd on a report of an in process domestic issue. Deputies investigated and arrested one party.  

Deputies responded to the 300 block of 3rd St on a report of a burglary alarm. Everything was found to be okay.

12/22/2022

Deputies responded to Highway 194 between milepost 15 and 16 on a report of a vehicle that slid off the road. Deputies responded and found no property damage. The vehicle was towed and one party was arrested for a warrant. 

Deputies responded to the 100 block of North Bent Avenue for the report of a power pole broken and hanging down. Deputies requested Las Animas Light & Power. The pole was detached from the power line and removed from the roadway.

Deputies responded to Highway 50 at County Road 13 for cattle on the highway. Deputies herded the cattle off of the roadway and waited for the owner.

Deputies took a phone call about a lost wallet. Reporting person lives in Lamar but lost wallet in Las Animas.

Deputies responded to the 28000 block of County Road 10 for a vehicle unlock. Deputies successfully unlocked the vehicle.

Deputies responded to the area of 5th Street and Oakland Avenue for the report of dogs at large.  Deputies were unable to locate the dogs.

Deputies responded to the 600 block of Vine Avenue for an ambulance call.  Deputies assisted with patient care.

Deputies responded to Highway 101 at County Road P for the report of cattle on the highway.  Deputies were able to get the livestock off the highway.

Deputies took a phone call regarding possible identity theft/impersonation.

Deputies responded to the 1200 block of 11th Street for an agency assist with Adams County.  Deputies were unable to locate the individual Adams County was looking for.

Deputies responded to the 32000 block of Highway 50 for a motorist assist. Deputies spoke with the motorist who needed air in his tire and had help coming.

Deputies completed a callback about potential fraud. Deputies spoke with the reporting party and found no fraud had taken place.

Deputies responded to the 700 block of 5th St. for a juvenile issue. Deputies were unable to locate the juvenile.

12/23/2022

Deputies responded to the 200 block of Vigil Ave for a welfare check. Deputies spoke with one party and it was determined to be a verbal argument.

Deputies responded to the 400 block of Jones Avenue for an ambulance call.  Deputies assisted with the patient.

Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 200 block of Bent Avenue. Deputies issued a warning to the driver for failure to maintain a lane.

Deputies responded to the 1,000 block of 2nd Street for a burglar alarm. Deputies determined it was a false alarm.

Deputies responded to the 700 block of Bent Avenue for a burglar alarm. Deputies determined it to be a false alarm.

Deputies responded to the 600 block of Lois Avenue for a civil problem. Deputies were able to resolve the issue between both parties.

Deputies responded to the 600 block of St. Vrain Avenue for a welfare check. Deputies were able to determine that everything was okay.

Deputies responded to the 100 block of Bent Ave for a burglary alarm. Deputies checked and it was a false alarm.
