Obituary

Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, Elena B. Romero, of La Junta, Colorado, entered rest, December 30, 2022, at Memorial Hospital in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

She was born to Delia and Jesus Hernandez November 20, 1944, she was 78 years of age. Elena is survived by her loving husband Jerry Romero, children Andrea Romero, Charles (Michelle) Romero, Danielle Espinoza, Jeremy Romero (Crystal Estrada); grandchildren Anya Whitfield, Michaela Romero, Alex Romero, Jordan Romero, Malia Romero, Cydney Romero, Donovan Romero, Aaliyah Trujillo, Anthony Trujillo, Kelsie Espinoza (Brandon Baca), Garron Espinoza, Jeremy Romero II, Alexa Romero; great grandchildren Mariana Baca, Liam Lopez; brothers Victor Albo, Jess Hernandez, Reyes Hernandez, and several nieces and nephews.

Elena was preceded in death by her father Jesus Hernandez and mother Delia Hernandez, sisters Maria DeHerrera, Stephanie Tafoya; brothers Edward Albo, Frank Albo, Richard Albo, Manual Hernandez, Robert Hernandez.

She was married 56 years ago to Jerry Romero, June 4, 1966. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, crafts, reading and she especially loved her grandchildren and greatgrandchildren. She will be greatly missed by all those who knew her and loved her.

A Rosary will be held January 20, 2023, at 10:30 a.m. followed by a Memorial Mass.

Johnson Romero Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
