12/24/2022

Deputies responded to the 7000 block of Highway 194 for a burglar alarm. Deputies determined everything was secure.

Deputies responded to the 700 block of Maple Avenue for an ambulance call.  Deputies assisted with the patient.

12/25/2022

Deputies responded to Highway 50 at mile marker 394 for the report of a deer carcass in the roadway. Deputies removed the carcass from the roadway.

Deputies responded to the 900 block of Ash Avenue for the report of a domestic problem. Deputies determined the issue to be civil in nature and got both parties to agree to separate for the day.

Deputies responded to the 6000 block of County Road GG for the report of a suspicious vehicle.  Deputies were unable to locate the vehicle.

Deputies responded to the 28000 block of County Road LL for the report of a civil issue. Deputies explained that the issue was civil.

12/26/2022

Deputies responded to the 700 block of Maple Ave to assist the ambulance. The party refused to be transported to the hospital.

Deputies responded to the 800 block of Carson Ave to assist the ambulance. The party was loaded and transported to the hospital in La Junta. 

Deputies spoke to a male party who hit a dog with his vehicle near Ambassador Thompson Boulevard and Locust Avenue. Deputies made a report. 

Deputies responded to the 700 block of Maple Ave on a report of an unresponsive party. Deputies assisted the coroner in investigating a death. 

Deputies responded to the 700 block of Grand Avenue for the report of a motorist assist. Deputies assisted the motorist.

Deputies responded to the 800 block of 4th Street for the report of a juvenile issue. Deputies were able to locate the juveniles.

Deputies responded to the 700 block of Grand Avenue for the report of a domestic issue. Deputies later arrested one male individual for a warrant and transported him to the Bent County Jail.

Deputies responded to the 700 block of Grand Avenue for the report of suspicious activity. Deputies determined that everything was okay.

Deputies responded to the 500 block of 3rd Street for the report of a dog call. Deputies were unable to locate the dog.

Deputies responded to the 700 block of Grand Avenue for the report of a civil issue. Deputies explained that the issue was civil.

Deputies responded to the 1000 block of Grand Avenue for the report of an ambulance assist. Deputies assisted EMS.

12/27/2022

Deputies responded to the 300 block of Ash avenue for a dog at large. Deputies were unable to locate the dog. 

Deputies responded to the 12000 block of Highway 101 on a report of a burglary. Deputies found this to be a civil issue as the parties had permission by the owner to come and get their belongings. 

Deputies responded to the 200 block of Carson Ave on a report of a burglary. Deputies took a report. This case will be attached to an existing case of burglary at this residence. 

Deputies responded to the 200 block of Vine Ave on a report of a vehicle lockout. Deputies unlocked the vehicle without incident. 

Deputies responded to the 1100 block of Moore Ave on a report of a found dog. When deputies arrived, the party had made contact with the owner of the dog and the owner was going to come pick it up. 

Deputies responded to the 900 block of Ash avenue for a dog at large. The owner of the dog was advised to keep the dog in their yard.

Deputies responded to the 900 block of 5th Street for the report of a welfare check. Deputies notified EMS and assisted with the patient.

12/28/2022

Deputies responded to the 7000 block of County road FF for the report of suspicious activity. Deputies determined that everything was okay.

Deputies responded to the 300 block of Grand Avenue for the report of suspicious activity. Deputies were unable to locate the individual.

Deputies responded to the 600 block of 6th street in Las Animas for the report of found property. Deputies were able to locate the owner and return the property.

Deputies responded to the 28000 block of County road 9.5 for the report of medical assistance. The patient refused the ride to the hospital.  

Deputies responded to the 600 block of Garfield Avenue in Las Animas for the report of a dog at large. Deputies were able to return the dogs to the owner.

Deputies responded to County road 30 and County road WW for the report of a car accident. Deputies assisted Colorado State Patrol with the investigation.

Deputies responded to the intersection of Carson Avenue and Ambassador Thompson Boulevard for the report of a 2-vehicle traffic accident. Deputies checked for injuries and began investigating. One driver was issued a citation.

Deputies responded to the 900 block of 6th street for found property. Deputies were able to find the owner and return the property.

Deputies responded to the 700 block of Poplar avenue for a family disturbance. Deputies advised the parties that they needed to follow the court order.  

Deputies responded to County Road JJ between County Road 17 and County Road 18 for the report of a vehicle theft in progress.  Deputies determined there was no criminal activity and the issue was a civil matter.

Deputies responded to the 300 block of Grove Ave for a burglary alarm. Deputies checked and it was a false alarm.

Deputies responded to the area of Hwy 101 and MM 10 for livestock on the highway. Deputies put the livestock back into the pasture.

Deputies responded to the area of 6th St and Moore Ave for suspicious activity. Deputies spoke with the party and determined he was a worker and that everything was okay.

12/29/2022

Deputies responded to Highway 50 and County road 19 for livestock out. Deputies were unable to locate the cows.  

Deputies responded to the 700 block of Park avenue for a 911 hang up. Deputies cleared the building and determined everything was okay.  

Deputies responded to the 1600 block of 6th for an animal attack. Deputies took one dog to the pound. 

Deputies responded to the 600 block of Grand Avenue in Las Animas for a civil standby.

Deputies responded to the 600 block of Grove Avenue in Las Animas for the report of a burglar alarm. Upon further investigation, deputies discovered the homeowner set it off.

Deputies responded to the 1000 block of Grand Ave for a dog at large. Deputies were unable to locate the dog.

12/30/2022

Deputies responded to Highway 50 and County road JJ for livestock out. Deputies were able to push the cow back in.

Deputies responded to 5th street for an animal attack. Deputies advised both parties to keep their dog in their yards. 

Deputies responded to the 3000 block of county road 15 for a medical assist. 

Deputies responded to the 700 block of Grand Avenue in Las Animas for the report of suspicious activity. Deputies were unable to locate any activity. 

Deputies responded to the 11000 block of County road GG.5 for a civil problem. Deputies showed the party how to block spam calls on the phone.
