...HIGH WIND WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 PM MST THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...West winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 60 mph. Winds will begin early this morning along the I-25 corridor, spreading across the plains this afternoon.

* WHERE...I-25 Corridor, along and south of Highway 50.

* WHEN...Until 6 PM MST this evening.

* IMPACTS...Damaging winds may blow down trees and power lines. Widespread power outages possible. Travel will be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. There could be areas of blowing dust, occasionally reducing visibilities.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... People should avoid being outside in forested areas and around trees and branches. If possible, remain in the lower levels of your home during the windstorm, and avoid windows. Use caution if you must drive.
