12/31/2022

Deputies responded to the 600 block of Bent Ave for a report of a suspicious person. Deputies spoke with the party and transported the party to Resada.

Deputies responded to Highway 50 near County Road 17 for the report of livestock on the highway.  Deputies contacted CDOT for fence repair.

Deputies responded to the 600 block of Grand Avenue for the report of dogs at large. Deputies searched the area but were unable to locate the dogs.

Deputies responded to the 11000 block of county road GG in Las Animas for the report of motorist assist. Deputies were able to give the party a ride to the store and back to their car.

Deputies responded to the 900 block of Bent Avenue in Las Animas for the report of a dog at large. Deputies were unable to locate the dog.

Deputies responded to the 300 block of Cottonwood for the report of a person not breathing. Deputies investigated.

Deputies responded to the 700 block of Poplar Avenue in Las Animas for the report of a civil standby. The party was able to retrieve the things and exit the house. 

Deputies responded to the 600 block of Carson Avenue in Las Animas for the report of a suspicious vehicle. Deputies were able to locate the vehicle but were unable to contact the owner.

Deputies rendered assistance to stranded motorists on Highway 50 at mile post 405.

Deputies responded to the 500 block of Carson Avenue in Las Animas for the report of found property. Deputies were able to return the property.

1/1/2023

Deputies responded to the 100 block of east 5th street in Las Animas for an animal call. Deputies were unable to locate the animal. 

Deputies responded to the 300 block of 6th street in Las Animas for a disturbance. Deputies were unable to locate any activity. 

Deputies responded to the 900 block of 4th St. on a report of a suspicious vehicle. Deputies were unable to locate the vehicle in question.

Deputies responded to the 300 block of Grove Ave on a report of a burglary alarm. Deputies found this to be a false alarm.

Deputies responded to the 100 block of Moore Avenue for the report of a 911 hang up. Deputies determined that everything was okay.

Deputies responded to the 300 block of 4th Street for the report of an unresponsive male party. Deputies were able to keep the male party conscious and applied a tourniquet to the male party, then assisted EMS with loading the patient into the ambulance.

1/2/2023

Deputies responded to the 400 block of Grove Avenue for the report of a suspicious vehicle. Deputies determined that everything was okay.

Deputies responded to the 27,000 block of CR 13 to assist the ambulance. The patient was loaded and transported to the hospital in La Junta. 

Deputies responded to the 400 block of Moore Ave on a report of a restraining order violation. Deputies arrested one party. 

Deputies responded to the 600 block of Ash Ave on a report of a 911 hang-up. Deputies found this to be a pocket dial and everything was okay. 

Deputies responded to the 500 block of West 5th St. on a report of a sick dog. Deputies assisted the owner with calling a vet. 

Deputies responded to the 30,000 block of CR 15 to assist the ambulance. The party was loaded and taken to the hospital in La Junta. 

Deputies responded to the 31,000 block of CR 5.5 to assist the ambulance. Deputies assisted the coroner during his investigation.  

Deputies responded to the 200 block of Vigil Avenue for the report of an ambulance assist. Deputies assisted EMS.

Deputies responded to the 600 block of Carson Avenue for the report of a suspicious vehicle. After further investigation, deputies determined that everything was okay.

Deputies responded to the 700 block of Grand Avenue for the report of a 911 hang up. Deputies were unable to locate the individual.

1/3/2023

Deputies responded to the 900 block of Ash Avenue for the report of harassment. Deputies attempted to make contact with the reporting party, but they refused to speak with the responding deputies.

Deputies responded to Highway 50 and milepost 419 on a report of a vehicle slide off. Deputies assisted CSP with the investigation.

Deputies responded to the 32,000 block of CR HH on a report of a vehicle accident. Deputies assisted CSP with the investigation. 

Deputies responded to the 30,000 block of CR 15 on a report of sexual contact. Deputies investigated this and found this to be a false claim. 

Deputies responded to the 700 block of 3rd Street for the report of an ambulance assist. Deputies assisted EMS.

Deputies responded to the 700 block of 3rd Street for the report of an ambulance assist. Deputies assisted EMS.

Deputies responded to Highway 50 and milepost 417 on a report of a motorist assist. Deputies helped the motorist.

Deputies responded to the 100 block of Locust Ave to assist the ambulance. The party was loaded and transported to the hospital in La Junta. 

Deputies responded to Highway 50 and milepost 413 on a report of a cow out. Deputies got the cows back in the fence and the owner fixed the fence. 

Deputies responded to the 2200 block of West 6th St on a report of damaged property. Deputies found this to be a civil issue. 

Deputies responded to the 30,000 block of CR 10 to assist the ambulance. The party was loaded and transported to the hospital in La Junta. 

Deputies responded to the 400 block of Lincoln Ave for a vehicle lock out. The vehicle was unlocked without issue. 

Deputies responded to Highway 50 and milepost 395 on a report of a reckless driver. Deputies made contact with the driver and issued a warning. 

Deputies responded to the 200 block of East Sunflower Ave in Hasty to do a welfare check. Deputies found two dogs that were taken to the pound and issued a summons to the owner. 

Deputies responded to Highway 50 and CR 14 on a report of dogs running in the road. Deputies were unable to locate the dogs.

Deputies responded to Highway 50 and milepost 394 for the report of a reckless driver. Deputies pulled the driver over and issued a warning.

Deputies responded to Highway 50 and Milepost 391 for the report of a dangerous driver. Deputies were unable to locate the driver.

1/5/2023

Deputies responded to the 10,000 block of Hwy 50 for a welfare check. Deputies spoke with the party and everything was okay.

Deputies responded to the 5,000 block of Hwy 50 for an agency assist. Deputies assisted the Humane Society.

Deputies responded to the area of County Road 15 and Hwy 50 for dogs near the highway. Deputies were unable to locate any dogs near the highway.

Deputies responded to Hwy 50 and MM 393 for a report of a reckless driver. Deputies stopped the driver and the driver was issued a citation.

Deputies responded for a motorist assist on Highway 50 and milepost 390. Deputies were advised by the party that everything was ok. 

Deputies responded to county road 14 and county road WW for a rollover. Vehicle was unoccupied. Deputies assisted Colorado State Patrol with the investigation. 

1/6/2023

Deputies responded to the area of Hwy 50 and County Road 14 for dogs near the highway. Deputies were unable to locate the dogs.

Deputies responded to the 200 block of 6th for a report of a stolen vehicle. Deputies spoke with the reporting party and took a report.

Deputies responded to the 29,000 block of Hwy 101 for an unwanted party. Deputies trespassed the party from the location.

Deputies responded to the 4th and Garfield for a civil issue. Deputies informed both parties that it was a civil issue.

Deputies responded to the area of Hwy 101 and MM 9 for livestock on the highway. Deputies were unable to locate any livestock near the highway.

Deputies responded to the 600 block of Grove for an animal call. Deputies were unable to locate. 

Deputies responded to the 300 block of Bent ave for a burglary call. Deputies were unable to locate any activity. 

Deputies responded to the 600 block of Ash Ave for a traffic complaint. Deputies made contact with the vehicle and issued a warning.  

Deputies responded to the 1200 block 9th street for a disturbance call. Deputies were unable to locate any activity. 

Deputies responded to Highway 50 and county road 7.5 for livestock on the highway. The owner was contacted and the livestock were returned to their field.
