URGENT - WINTER WEATHER MESSAGE National Weather Service

409 AM MST Sat Jan 21 2023 ...WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 5 PM MST THIS AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Heavy snow. Additional snow accumulations of 2 to 6 inches, especially across the southeast plains. Winds gusting as high as 35 mph.

* WHERE...Southern Sangre de Cristo Mountains and Huerfano, Las Animas, Crowley, Otero, Kiowa, Bent, Prowers and Baca Counties.

* WHEN...Until 5 PM MST this afternoon.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. Patchy blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility.
