Closures and Delays Jan. 30, 2023

Otero County offices will have a 2 hour delay tomorrow January 30... The trial courts and probation will open at 8:00 a.m., Monday, January 30. Bent, Crowley, and Otero Counties. 

All Otero CDS employees will be on a two-hour delay Monday, Jan. 30. Lamar, La Junta, Las Animas, Rocky Ford & Manzanola centers will be on a two-hour delay. Boone center is closed to children.

Robin's Daycare is on a two-hour delay January 30th.

Manzanola School District will be on a 2-hour delay tomorrow January 30, 2023 due to weather. Stay safe and warm Bobcats.

East Otero School District will be on 2 hour delay in anticipation of dangerous wind chills in the morning January 30th.

Seal academy in La Junta will be on a two hour delay as well.

Town Hall for the Town of Ordway will be on two hour delay January 30th.

In anticipation of icy road conditions, Rocky Ford City Hall will have a two-hour delay and open at 9:00am.

Please only travel if necessary and drive safe.

SAGE Services will not prepare meals today. It is too cold for our volunteers to deliver meals. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Due to icy roadways and cold temps the Otero College campus is on a 2 hour delay for Monday, January 30. Non-Essential staff and faculty will report 2 hours after their scheduled start time. Classes will resume at 10:00 a.m.

If students have questions, please reach out to your instructors. Snow accumulation and icy roads are making travel difficult.

We would encourage ALL members of our campus community to utilize good judgement when determining to travel during inclement weather. It is not always reasonable to predict the unique differences of road conditions in our service area. Do not take unnecessary risks.
