1/28/2023
 
Deputies responded to the 27,000 block of County Road 11 for an ambulance assist. Deputies assisted ambulance personnel.
 
Deputies respond to Hwy 50, MM 400 for a motorist assist. Deputies assisted with traffic control.
 
Deputies responded to the 11,000 block of County Road GG.5 for a civil issue. Deputies spoke with the party and informed them it was a civil issue.
 
Deputies responded to the 700 block of Poplar Ave for a welfare check. Deputies spoke with the reporting party and informed them everything was okay.
 
Deputies responded to the 400 block of Elm Ave for a report of theft. Deputies located the stolen property, and it was returned to the owner. Two parties were trespassed from the property.
 
Deputies responded to the 11,000 block of County Road GG.5 for a report of a civil issue. Deputies spoke with the reporting party and determined it was a civil issue.
 
Deputies responded to the 1,000 block of Ambassador Thompson for the report of a disturbance. Deputies spoke with one party but were unable to locate the other party. Deputies did not find evidence of any criminal act.
 
1/29/2023
 
Deputies responded to the 700 block of Locust Avenue in Las Animas for the report of a verbal disagreement. Deputies were able to get both parties to calm down for the night.
 
Deputies received a call back for the 700 block of Poplar Avenue in Las Animas for a civil problem. Deputies advised the party that it was a civil issue and to contact the courts.
 
Deputies responded to county road P and Highway 101 for livestock out. Deputies were unable to locate any activity.
 
Deputies responded to the Bent County Jail for an altercation. Deputies arrived on scene and the jail staff had the situation under control.
 
1/30/2023
 
Deputies responded to the 200 block of Locust Avenue for a water problem. Deputies assisted the city in shutting off the water.
 
Deputies responded to the 200 block of Grand avenue for a medical assist. Deputies helped load the patient.
 
Deputies received a call to respond to the 200 block of 6th Street for a possible male party walking, who was involved in a burglary. Deputies took one male party into custody and are currently investigating the incident. One female party turned herself into the Bent County Sheriff's Office due to having an active warrant. Deputies took the female party into custody. One male party turned himself into the Bent County Sheriff's Office due to having an active warrant. Deputies took the male party into custody.
 
Deputies observed an individual who had a warrant for their arrest in the 1000 block of Locust Avenue in Las Animas. Deputies took the individual into custody and transported to the Bent County Jail.
 
Deputies received a call to the 100 block of 9th street for a male party needing help with a bike. Deputies assisted the male party in fixing the bike.
 
Deputies assisted the jail staff in breaking up a fight. No charges were pressed by the victim.
 
Deputies responded to the 300 block of Poplar avenue for a motorist assist. Deputies were able to get the car started.
 
1/31/2023
 
Deputies responded to the 1000 block of Carson Avenue in Las Animas for the report of a mental subject. Upon further investigation, deputies discovered everything to be under control.
 
Deputies received a call to respond to Ambassador Thompson Boulevard and Ash Avenue for an agency assist with Colorado State Patrol. Deputies assisted State Patrol in taking one male into custody.
 
Deputies received a call to the 100 block of Bent Avenue for a vehicle unlock.
 
Deputies did not get the vehicle unlocked, but did assist the female party in getting to work.
 
Deputies received a referral from the Safe2Tell tip line about a sexual assault. Deputies are investigating.
 
Deputies responded to the 300 block of Grand avenue for a call of an abandoned vehicle. Deputies arrived on scene and determined everything was okay.
 
Deputies responded to the 600 block of St. Vrain avenue for a disturbance call. Deputies arrived on scene and spoke to all involved parties. Deputies determined everything was okay.
 
Deputies responded to the 800 block of 3rd street for a fire alarm. Deputies arrived on scene and determined it was a false alarm.
 
Deputies responded to the 28,000 block of Highway 101 for a harassment call. Deputies made contact with the reporting party and determined everything was okay.
 
Deputies responded to the 11,000 block of county road GG.5 for a call of a civil problem. Deputies arrived on scene and determined everything was okay.
 
Deputies responded to the 30,000 block of county road 10 for an animal call. Deputies arrived on scene and were unable to locate.
 
Deputies conducted a traffic stop on Highway 194 and Mile Marker 17. Upon further investigation, deputies discovered the driver to be under the influence. The individual was taken into custody, transported to the Bent County Jail and issued a citation for DUI.
 
Deputies responded to the 500 block of Carson Avenue in Las Animas for the report of a fire alarm. Deputies searched the building and determined everything was okay.
 
Deputies responded to the 400 block of Moore Avenue in Las Animas for the report of medical assistance. Deputies helped load the patient.
 
Deputies responded to the 300 block of Elm Avenue in Las Animas for the report of medical assistance. Deputies helped load the patient.
 
2/1/2023
 
Deputies responded to the county road HH and 34.5 in Las Animas for the report of pursuit by Lamar Police Department. Deputies provided cover for LPD.
 
Deputies received a call to respond to the 31000 block of county road 10.5 for a juvenile that did not want to wake up and go to school. Deputies called the parents to speak with the juvenile and advised him to go to school.
 
Deputies received a call to the 11000 block of county road FF.75 for a vin inspection. Deputies conducted the vin inspection and cleared.
 
Deputies received a call to respond to Highway 50 and mile marker 402 for a traffic complaint. Deputies attempted to find the vehicle but were unsuccessful before getting to the county line.
 
Deputies responded to the 30,000 block of county road 15 for an ambulance call. Deputies assisted medical staff with loading the patient.
 
Deputies were conducting a voluntary contact when they found the male party to have an active warrant. Deputies took one male party into custody.
 
Deputies responded to the 200 block of Maple avenue for a 911 misdial. Deputies were unable to locate.
 
Deputies responded to Highway 50 and mile marker 404 for a call of a reckless driver. The driver was issued a citation. Deputies received a complaint of a protection order violation via phone communication. Deputies investigated the matter and issued an arrest warrant. One individual was then placed into custody and transported to the Bent County Jail.
 
Deputies responded to the 1000 block of Grand Avenue for an animal call. Deputies were unable to locate.
 
Deputies responded to the 900 block of Ash avenue for a disturbance call. Deputies were unable to locate.
 
2/2/2023
 
Deputies responded to the 32,000 block of CR 10 on a report of a vehicle lockout. Deputies unlocked the vehicle without incident.
 
Deputies responded to the 600 block of St. Vrain Ave on a report of trespass. Deputies found that the person had the right to be on the property.
 
Deputies responded to the 400 block of Moore Ave on a report of trespassing.
 
Deputies found this to be a civil issue.
Deputies responded to the 300 block of Moore Ave on a report of a vehicle lockout. Deputies were able to unlock the vehicle without incident.
 
Deputies responded to the 11,000 block of CR GG.5 on a report of an assault. Deputies investigated and issued summons to the parties involved.
 
Deputies responded to the 300 block of Grand Ave on a report of an assault. Deputies investigated and found that no assault had occurred.
 
Deputies responded to Highway 50 and CR 5.5 on a report of a dangerous driver. Deputies patrolled the area but were unable to locate the vehicle in question.
 
Deputies received a phone call from a party that lived in the county wanting information about his dog. Deputies provided the party with the appropriate information.
 
Deputies responded to the 600 block of Ash Ave on a report of a juvenile problem. Deputies talked with the parties involved and came to a peaceful resolution.
 
Deputies responded to the 500 block of Elm Ave on a report of dogs running at large. Deputies were unable to locate the dogs.
 
Deputies responded to the 400 block of Grand Ave on a report of dogs running at large and chasing cats. The owner of the dogs found them before deputies were on scene. The owner was issued a warning.
 
Deputies responded to the 1500 block of Ambassador Thompson Boulevard for the report of public assistance. Deputies gave a courtesy ride to one male individual.
 
Deputies responded to the intersection of County Road FF.5 and County Road 10 for the report of damaged property. After further investigation, deputies determined that there was no damage done.
 
Deputies responded to the 400 block of Lincoln Avenue for the report of damaged property. After further investigation, deputies notified the parents of the individuals.
 
2/3/2023
 
Deputies responded to the 100 block of South Saint Claire Street in Hasty, Colorado for the report of a burglar alarm. Deputies determined that everything was okay.
 
Deputies responded to the 33000 block of CR 24 on a report of a suicidal party. Deputies found the claims to be false.
 
Deputies responded to the 600 block of Maple Ave to assist another agency. Deputies delivered a message for La Junta Police Department.
 
Deputies responded to the 100 block of St. Clair Ave in Hasty on a report of a burglar alarm. Deputies found this to be a false alarm.
 
Deputies responded to the 400 block of Locust Ave on a report of suspicious activity. Deputies took a report and will monitor the area.
