La Junta Fire Department VS Fire on Harriet Ave.

At 437 this morning we were toned out for a structure fire. Upon arrival of Eng 1 heavy fire seen on the back portion of the house with heavy smoke from the eves.

Aggressive defensive attack made. Search found the house was empty. The house had no utilities and squatters were living in the property.

Cold temps and snow made it difficult. No injuries. Cause of the fire was two faulty generators running extension cords.
