Obituary

Wallace Eugene Plank, 87, of Cheraw, passed away on February 14, 2023. He was born on July 2, 1935, in Cheraw to Walter Solomon & Anna Ruby (Palmer) Plank, Sr.

He worked at NIBCO in La Junta until it closed, then at EDCO in Rocky Ford until he went to work for Falcon Industries in La Junta before retiring.

Wallace enjoyed traveling, most notably to Utah and Maine. He loved to take pictures of all of his trips. Wallace also loved to watch the birds and kept them well fed. His greatest love was his family. He loved attending his daughters' and then his grandchildren's activities. He was always happy to have a reason to spend time with his family.

He is survived by his wife Imogene of 53 years; daughters, Angie (Steve) Swedhin of Cheraw; Diane (John) Fazekas of Cheraw; grandchildren, Bethany (Tobias Kersey) Swedhin, Hunter Swedhin, Tyler & Dylan Fazekas; nieces and nephews also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Rosine Ladd; brothers, Walter Jr. & Robert Plank and infant brother.

Memorial service will be Saturday, February 18, 2023, at 10:30 a.m. at the East Holbrook Mennonite Church in Cheraw with Pastor John Stoltzfus and Larry Evers officiating.
