Obituary

Manuel Romero Jr., of La Junta, Colorado entered into, rest March 18, 2023, at UC Memorial Health Center North in Colorado Springs. Colorado.

He was born to Laboria and Manuel Romero Sr., March 9, 1945, in La Junta, Colorado. Manuel was 78 years of age.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years Louise Romero, children, Anthony (Julie) Romero, Manuel (Kim) Romero III, Christine Lucero, grandchildren, Makaela, Aaliyah, Mateo, Thomas, Krista, Travis, Izaya, great-grandchildren, Kaylee, Jaxon, Breah, Landon, great grandchildren, Caydn, Anthony, sister, Lucy Baca, Brother in-laws, Rudy (Melenda) Sipmefski, Robert (Carrie) Sipmefski, several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Manuel is preceded in death by his parents, Laboria and Manuel Romero Sr., Siblings, Andrea, Cora, Ursula, Mary, Eva and Joe.

Manuel enjoyed detailing vehicles, walking his dog, Von, his cats, Tigger and Boo. If he saw something that needed to be fixed it would be fixed by the next day. He was never wrong. He cared for many peoples lawns and was always outside doing something. He loved his children but especially loved his grandchildren. There wasn’t anybody that did not know him.

A 9:30 A.M. Rosary followed by a 10:00 A.M. Memorial Mass will be held March 31, 2023 at Our Lady of Guadalupe St. Patrick’s Catholic Church.
