March 31, 2023

0830 am- we went back to Hwy 109 and Rd Y and worked hot spots from yesterdays 27 acre fire for about 4 hours. Assisted by DFPC Eng 34.

212 pm - responded for a mutual aid request from Rocky Ford Fire Department for a large fast moving brush fire threatening structures.

257 pm - responded to Hwy 350 and mile marker 64 for another large fast moving brush fire heading East ending up at 104 acres. Had assistance from Rocky Ford Fire Department, Cheraw Volunteer Fire Department, Las Animas/Bent County Fire Protection District, Otero County Sheriffs Office, Colorado State Patrol, Otero County Road and Bridge and CDOT, Otero County Emergency Manager and a few local ranchers. While fighting this fire 

446 pm- responded to a structure fire in the 1800 blk of Cimarron for a house full of smoke and a room and contents fire. While still on scene.

452 pm - responded to a medical call 

457 pm - responded to motor vehicle accident at 5th and Carson.
