Obituary

Agostavus “Gus” Archuleta entered into rest peacefully Tuesday, April 18th at the Spanish Peaks Veterans Community Living Center in Walsenburg, Colorado, with his children by his side.

He was born December 27, 1935 in Redwing Colorado to Malaquias Archuleta and Eloisa Cerda Archuleta.

He was 87 years of age. Gus married Marie Gallegos December 27, 1958, In Boulder, Colorado.

He was a United States Army Veteran, he spent most of his days ranching, riding horses and working cattle. His love was cowboying!

Gus is preceded in death by the love of his life, wife Marie Archuleta, father Malaquias Archuleta, mother, Eloisa Archuleta, brother Manuel Archuleta, sister Victoria Archuleta, grandson Justin Fleshman, great grandson Beau Fleshman, and two infant children.

He is survived by his children Max (Jaime) Archuleta, Michael (Connie) Archuleta, Rhonda (Darren) Fleshman, Brandon (Tina) Archuleta, brothers, Berrie (Virginia) Archuleta Sr., Felipe (Neysa) Archuleta, Maria wife of (Manual) Archuleta, 14 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Cremation will take place at the request of Gus with a Rosary, Memorial service, and Military Honors, all will be held 11:00 am, May 13, 2023 at the Gardner Community Center in Gardner, Colorado.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Johnson-Romero Funeral Home.
