Obituary

Charles Max Borrego, of Pueblo, Colorado entered into rest, May 9, 2023 at his residence in Pueblo.

He was born to Josephine and Lloyd Borrego, December 26, 1948 in Walsenburg, Colorado. He was 74 years of age.

Charles is survived by one son, Bert (Shawn) Borrego, grandsons, Trace Borrego, Dillon (Katie) Borrego, great granddaughter, Josie Borrego, four brothers and two sisters.

Charles is preceded in death by both parents, Josephine and Lloyd Borrego, and brother Larry Borrego.

He grew up in Aguilar, Colorado, where he graduated high school in 1966. Some of his best stories were about his time playing football as a middle linebacker and all the good times he had growing up in a small town with his brothers.

Charles served in the United States Army as a Medic. He received the Combat Medical Badge, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Vietnam Service Medal and 2 Bronze Service Stars. After the army Charles drove a snowplow for the Colorado Department of Transportation.

Charles loved attending Nascar races with his son and grandsons. He was a proud grandpa through the Years. He also enjoyed watching his grandsons play football and wrestle.
