WILLIAM BONIFACIO GALLEGOS

William Bonifacio Gallegos of La Junta, Colorado and formerly of Las Animas, Colorado, entered into rest October 13, 2023, at UC Memorial Central Hospital in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

William was born March 23, 1951, In Las Animas, Colorado, to Wanda and John Gallegos. He was 72, years of age.

William is survived by his sons David Gallegos (Cecelia Medina) William Gallegos, Granddaughter, Shantae Gallegos and his brother John (Priscella) Gallegos, James (Carol) Gallegos and Sister Velma (Ed) Siwicki, numerous anunt uncles, aunts, cousins, nephews and nieces. He is proceeded in death by his parents John B. Gallegos and Wanda Gallegos Barcelona and his Brother Cosme Gallegos.

William loved to fish, hunt and spend time with his family and friends. He had a gift to see animals in the wild and had smile that would light up a room. His singing was heard by friends and family, which brought joy to everyone. He was a great artist and father.

He served in the military in the United States Army and was honorably discharged.

A Memorial Service will be held 10:30 A.M. Friday October 20, 2023, at Saint Mary’s Catholic Church in Las Animas followed by a Committal and Military Honors at the Fort Lyon National Cemetery in Fort Lyon, Colorado.
