Obituary

Danny Lee Baty, “Dannyboy”, of Hesperia, California, was called home at the age of 45. He passed in his home in Ordway, Co, on Friday, October 13, 2023. Danny had dealt with a genetic heart condition the majority of his adult life, and though he was not ready to leave anyone, God had other plans.

Danny was born on June 25th 1978, in Apple Valley, CA to Judie and Jim Baty. From a young age Danny was a loving, caring individual. As a child, Danny enjoyed little league baseball and excelled in school with his bright and sharp mind. Into his teen years he could be found riding his BMX bike wherever he could take it, or with his brother Michael that he loved dearly and spent most of his time with. Danny also loved going line dancing at the country western place local to him at the time. He always was a lady’s man.

As a young adult Danny’s lifelong love for planes directed him to spend a brief amount of time in the Navy while pursuing a career in aviation electronics. He spoke of this experience frequently, and the potential to pursue such a task speaks to the brilliance of his mind. Danny was a very calculated individual in all that he did.

As an adult Danny was a very hard worker and his drive was unmatchable. He most recently worked for OBS in the lumber yard and could be found working on something for someone in the shop, or on a personal project, which he took great pride in. He loved woodwork and any finished project would bring him joy and happiness. Danny loved to tinker on his planes, his boats, and his RC cars. He would take things apart just to fix them or improve them, and it brought him peace and happiness to drive and fly them.

Danny’s persistence and perseverance were a sight to see, he would go to any length to get what he wanted, and that drove him the majority of his life. He loved to see people smile and would utilize any means to make that happen.

Danny was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Judie Baty, and brothers, Robert “Robbie” Baty, and Michael “Mikey” Baty. He longed for them in life, and is now able to be at peace with them. Danny is survived by his father Jim Baty (Barb), three step siblings, his sister Katriana Washburn, his three sons, Linkin Baty, Michael Baty, and Tommy Baty, and his daughter Tiffany Baty. Let us not forget Copper, his four legged son and best friend.

Danny will be greatly missed by his family, his friends, and he will forever hold a place in our hearts that nothing else will ever be able to fill. We’re going to miss your smile and your passion. May you be at peace, may you have no fear, and may God bless you for eternity Danny Baty.

Funeral service will be Saturday, October 28, 2023, at 11:00 a.m., at the First Christian Church in Ordway, CO with Pastor Thorne R. Cassidy officiating.
