Obituary

Nancy Reed of Swink, formerly of Sugar City, passed away on October 23, 2023 at the age of 62 at her home. Nancy was born in La Junta to Charles and Ruth Watkins.

Nancy was a cook at Crowley County School for 19 years. She also worked at Crowley County Correctional Facility as a kitchen supervisor. She met Neal Reed in 1979 whom she later married. Nancy enjoyed working in the yard, crocheting and her dogs. Nancy loved spending time with her family. She touched the lives of so many and her laugh and smile were contagious to each and every person she met.

Nancy is survived by her husband of 40 years Neal Reed of Swink, 1 daughter: Nichole Reed of Manzanola, 2 sisters: Louise Cupp of Pueblo, Sally Arndt of OK, 1 brother: Jim Watkins of Ordway. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Randy Watkins, and her sister Pam Lindt.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Bellwood Ford Ustick Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
