Shirley Jones, age 81, of Ordway, passed away on October 30, 2023, in Pueblo. She was born on April 20, 1942, in Salida at her grandparents home. She is survived by her daughter Sheri Logan (David) of Bayard, NE, her son John Jones of Huntsville, AR, her sister Jean Carr of Pueblo, as well as three grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, four nieces, and several great-nieces and nephews. Shirley was preceded in death by her mother Betty Carothers, father Ross Weaver, brother Ralph Weaver, and granddaughter Cheyenne Jones.

Shirley was known for her exceptional cooking skills, particularly when it came to baking pies at the Spa restaurant in Salida. She also had a successful career as a data entry specialist for the Arabian Horse Association and Neo Data. Shirley's passion for arts and crafts was evident throughout her life, as she continued to engage in various artistic pursuits until her very last days. She found solace in reading her Bible and had a deep love for her dogs.

Shirley will be remembered for her unwavering faith. After coming to know the Lord, God used her to influence many of her family members and friends to also embrace their faith in the Lord Jesus. Shirley's love for her children and her devotion to the Lord was evident in every aspect of her life.

A private memorial service will be held to celebrate Shirley's life and to honor her memory.

Bellwood Ford Ustick Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
