La Junta Fire Department VS Halloween Shop Structure Fire
At approx 0729 this morning, we were toned out for a commercial structure fire in the 700 blk W 3rd.
Upon arrival of Eng 1, heavy smoke was showing throughout the roof and fire was noticed on the back corner of the building.
Defensive attack started until extra staff arrived and transitioned into interior attack.
The building had a metal roof making it harder to ventilate to remove heat and smoke.
Crews were able to work inside and pull the ceiling down to aid in fire extinguishment.
Mutual aid was called in from Rocky Ford Fire Department and Cheraw Vol Fire Department for extra man power.
