La Junta Fire Department VS Halloween Shop Structure Fire

SECO News Interviewed La Junta Fire Chief Brad Davidson about the Halloween Shop Structure Fire on Sunday morning. "Upon arrival we had heavy smoke showing from the roofline and from the backside of the building."

"The guys worked really hard and started to knock the fire down. Due to the building having the metal roof it made it a little more difficult to get access to it."

"We did call in help from Cheraw Fire Department and Rocky Ford Fire Department for some more personnel, which I'm happy for and really thankful for them coming," Davidson said.

"Right now I can tell you the fire's under investigation, I need to conduct an investigation on this. There's no injuries, the building is still standing but there's extensive damage... The building's - it's a total loss on the inside."

"If anybody saw anything during that time or earlier or noticed smoke or has any information like that, they can contact the La Junta Fire Department and ask for Chief Davidson (719) 384-2323 or contact the La Junta Police Department." (719) 384-2525.
