Obituary

Janet Rae Pinamonte, 85, passed peacefully Wednesday, November 22nd 2023 at her La Junta home surrounded by loved ones. She was born, June 25th 1938 in Pueblo, CO to Corrina Nichols & Leonard Markland.

Janet loved playing sports, especially softball and was a talented violinist. In 1956, Janet graduated from Central High School and married Donald Minerich. Together they raised five rambunctious boys whom Janet was always very proud of. Later in life, Janet obtained her RN in nursing and worked many years in the profession. Janet married the love of her life, Lance Pinamonte, in 1981 and they spent 41 wonderful years together.

Janet is survived by her husband Lance Pinamonte; sons, Mark (Cathi) Minerich; Todd (Belinda) Minerich; Parrish Minerich; Morgan Minerich; Shawn Pinamonte (Scott Armenta); as well as her loving sister Gretchen Head and nephews Thad and Jody. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren, who will miss her dearly. She is preceded in death by her son, Shannon Minerich; parents, Corrina & Leonard Markland; and brother, John Markland.
