Obituary

David B. Schulz, 65, passed away November 27, 2023 at Parkview Medical Center in Pueblo, CO due to heart complications. He was born May 25, 1958 at the Marine base in San Diego, CA to Robert & Kathleen (Klinefeld) Schulz. He was raise in Michigan until 1972. The family later moved to Colorado. He married Susan Franklin on September 15, 1978.

Dave loved working on Mopars and anything else that had an engine that needed more power! He was the Mopar Legend. He enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, shooting guns, 4-wheeling, motorcycles, car show, racing EVERYTHING, and being with his family, friends, and his dog Jerry. Dave was never boring, but was very ornery and lived life to the fullest. He was always the first to call on from anyone that needed a hand with anything. He enjoyed helping everybody. He also enjoyed giving people, including his daughter, a hard time for parking their Fords on his property. Dave will be truly missed by his loving family, friends and all those that were lucky to meet such an amazing man!

Dave is survived by his loving wife Susan Schulz; children, Ross Alex and Ashley Wingard; siblings, Clifford (Jenifer) Schulz; John (Christine) Schulz; Celeste Jackson; Jim (Marylin) Schulz; Desiree (Steve) Glenister; and Dustin (Laurie) Schulz. He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert & Kathy, and Ellen Schulz; sons, Mitch & Adam Schulz; father-in-law, Wendell Franklin & mother-in-law, Orma Stayskal; sister-in-law, Mary Schulz; brothers-in-law, Daniel Jackson & Howard Meadows; nephews, Jeremy, Jasper & Jarid Schulz, and Terry Devore.

At Dave’s request, he wanted his services to be at his favorite hunting camp in Westcliffe, CO. There will be a Celebration of Life on June 8, 2024 in Westcliffe. It will be an ATV/UTV ride up to his favorite spot, the road is also truck/SUV friendly. Family and friends will meet at the Tamarack Grill in Fowler, CO at 10:00 a.m. on June 8, 2023. Please bring your own drinks, lunch and any other necessities. We will all enjoy his favorite ride up to Westcliffe together and share all of our stories and memories about Dave.

Online condolences may be made at www.PeacockFH.com. Peacock-Larsen Funeral Home & Arkansas Valley Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
