Rocky Ford Police Make Firearms Related Arrest

About 2135 hours, December 10th, 2023, the Rocky Ford Police Department was dispatched to a property near the intersection of 9th and Spruce for a report of a male in a back yard shooting a hand gun.

Officers responded and located evidence outside the home in the back yard, but were unable to complete their investigation without entry into the home. A warrant was applied for and issued. 

Entry was made into the home at about 0108 hours, December 11th, 2023. A hand gun and other firearm related items were taken into evidence. Inquiries continue with respect to possible charges. 

Many thanks to Otero County Sheriff’s Office for their assistance with the initial call and securing the scene until a warrant was issued.
