Obituary

Clinton Lee Thomasson, 68, passed away Saturday, January 27, 2024 at his LaJunta home. He was born on March 4, 1955, to Loy D. & Jane V. (Hayhurst) Thomasson in Artesia, New Mexico.

Clint was a truck driver for over 40 years, traveling over five million miles, through 48 states and Canada. He worked as a cowboy on ranches for a few years until a broken pelvis kept him off his horse. Clint was an active member of the La Junta Church of Christ and a founding member of the Kindness Kitchen.

He is survived by his wife, Kim Baker-Thomasson of the La Junta home; children, Lynette (Monty) White and Shane (Amanda) Baker; grandchildren, Clay (Laney) White, Kasie White, Kaylyn Rose, Kaycee Rose, Karsen White, Kate White, Colin Baker, Mattie Baker, and Liston Baker; brother, Earl (Sharon) Thomasson; Clints nieces and nephew, Cloy, Tammy, and Carlen Thomasson; Many sisters-in-law & brothers-in-law and their children. He was preceded in death by his parents, Loy & Jane Thomasson and his brother, Clifton Ray Thomasson.

Services will be at a later date.

Peacock-Larsen Funeral Home & Arkansas Valley Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
