Girls in the Middle Conference Registration Closes Feb 9, 2024

(La Junta, CO) -- Registration is now open for the 2024 Girls in the Middle Conference at Otero College.  The annual conference will be Saturday, March 2nd and the theme is “Digging into Your Future.”  Middle School aged girls will be exposed to careers in STEAM, Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts and Mathematics. 

Keynote speaker Dr. Kimberly Munro will share her experiences as an Archaeologist working at dig sites around the world to include the Andes of South America.  Munro has given her time to the Girls in the Middle Conference in the past and is happy to return to being involved once again. 

Girls attending the conference will attend workshops in the morning focusing on careers, have lunch and will get a chance to interact with cadets from the US Air Force Academy.  Registration to attend is online at www.girlsinthemiddle.com. 

The deadline to register is February 9th at 5pm and spots are limited. The minimal cost of $5 covers breakfast, lunch, and a T-shirt.  Professional women in Southeast Colorado and Otero college volunteer year-round to provide the conference to all middle school girls in the area.
