Description: The La Junta Fire Department Released the Following Incident Report and Photos from a Fire Under the 3rd street bridge at Adams Ave in La Junta.

La Junta Fire Dept VS Homeless Camp Fire Under 3rd St. Bridge

At approx 1440 today we responded to a fire in the bridge at 3rd and Adams. Upon arrival a homeless camp was found on fire with nobody around it.

Crews used booster lines to knock the fire down and complete overhaul of alot of debris.

After the area was deemed out a plan was made with City of La Junta Engineer to have the street crew start cleaning up the mess tomorrow and haul all of it off.

All crews returned to service.
