Kathy Jean Cato, 57, passed away Sunday, May 5, 2024 at her home in Rocky Ford.

Kathy Jean Cato daughter of Harley Cato and Nicki Geha was born on April 27,1967. Kathy was married to Jerry Cavender her true love until his passing in December of 2023. Kathy loved her cats, taking care of her plants especially her roses, cooking, listening to music, playing pool any time she could, and studying Egyptology among many other subjects. Kathy always had a smile on her face and brought light and fun to every room she walked into. Before her passing she found God again and was fully devoted to sharing his wonderful words with everyone.

Kathy is survived by her daughter Holly Brown, son Travis Battleson, and son Tony Battleson. Six grandchildren, Aunt Wilma Wilson, cousins Jolene Wilson, Chris Wilson. God parents Gleanna and Jim Waites.
Kathy was proceeded into death by her Husband Jerry Cavender, parents Nicki Geha and Harley Cato, Aunt Cecil, sister Leslie, and nephew Jonathan.

OUR LAST GOOD-BYE
Today I said my last good-bye. Knowing full well that we shall meet once again. Oh, Lord, why is this? The sadness we feel so deep in our hearts. Why must there be such sorrow? Tell me, Oh Lord, why must we say good-bye? I look upon the sun as it rises, and upon it as it sets. But my loved ones as if I will never see them again. I know the sun will be there again. But will I or my loved ones be there? Please Of Lord, take me in your arms and tell me why we must say Our last Good-Bye. I love you, My last Good-bye
