Suspicious Death Under Investigation in La Junta
On June 22, 2024, at approximately 11:00 a.m., La Junta Police Officers responded to the Travel Inn located at 110 East First Street following a report of an unattended death.
Upon arrival, the officers discovered a deceased male and noted suspicious circumstances in the room. They immediately secured the room and notified the LJPD Investigator.
The Sixteenth Judicial District Attorney's Office, Colorado Bureau of Investigation, and Bent County Coroner's Office were also called to assist.
The incident is currently under investigation, and additional information will be made available here as the investigation progresses.
