December 11, 1947 - June 23, 2024

 

Obituary

Marsha Ann Hidalgo was born on December 11, 1947, in Huntington, Indiana, to the parents of Willis and Mary Sherck. She attended school and was a graduate of Fowler, Colorado. She married Alfredo Ignacio Hidalgo on July 1, 1977, in La Junta CO, and died June 23, 2024, at the age of 76.

She resided in Kansas and raised her family.

Marsha worked several different jobs, but her calling was caring for others as a CNA working at a nursing home and spent many years working for Dr. Arroyo in Garden City, Kansas till she retired.

She survived by her husband, Alfredo, her daughters, Mary Egley, Chanteau (Eric) Roman, granddaughters, Sunny(Martin) Baeza, Shania Egley, Autumn Kermmoade, Jazmyn Hidalgo, Jordyn Hidalgo, Jeremiah Hidalgo and great grandson Aaron Gandarilla. She is Preceded in death by her parents, her son, Alfredo Michael Hidalgo Jr. which she loved and missed dearly, her Father in law, Alfredo Hidalgo, and mother in law, Secundina Hidalgo.

She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, her family, who was her greatest joy and took great pride in all of them. Through the years, she enjoyed cooking, baking, canning, and crocheting. She loved animals, her personal pets, and farm animals she made goat cheese for everyone.

She loved to play bingo along with her daughter Mary and visiting the casinos. She loved her time spent with Chanteau at the salon getting their nails done regularly. Joking around was a pastime the family shared. There was always laughter. She enjoyed visits to see family and friends in La Junta quite often and loved going up the hill to Cripple Creek with her husband and others on occasion. She will be greatly missed by all her family and friends.

Services Held on July 2, 2024 at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Guadalupe St. Patrick's Parish in La Junta, Colorado. Johnson Romero Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
