La Junta Police Make Multiple Warrant Arrests at Travel Inn
The La Junta Police Department has apprehended three wanted individuals at a local motel.
On 07/12/2024 at approximately 0823 hours La Junta Police Officers were proactively patrolling the area of 110 E 1st Street (Travel Inn). Officers recognized multiple subjects identified as Johnny Nunez (40), Andraya Rivas (30), and Shelby Abney (29) with active warrants for their arrests. Nunez had multiple misdemeanors, Abeny had one felony warrant, and Rivas had multiple misdemeanor warrants and one felony warrant. Multiple subjects were arrested without injury. An officer sustained a minor injury and was later released from the hospital.
All Parties Considered Innocent Until Proven Guilty in a Court of Law.
