La Junta Police Dept. Thanks Public for Arrest Assist

The La Junta Police Department has apprehended a wanted individual.

On 07/13/2024 at approximately 0845 hours, Officers with the La Junta Police Department patrolled 10th St. and Grace Avenue. Officers recognized Caleb Correll (27) and attempted to contact him for an outstanding misdemeanor warrant for his arrest.

Mr. Correll fled from Officers, and a pursuit was initiated. Officers pursued Mr. Correll for several blocks through alleys and several residents yards. With the help of several concerned citizens, officers could finally take Mr. Correll into custody without further incident.

The La Junta Police Department would like to thank the citizens who assisted and the Otero County Sheriff’s Office for their help.

All Parties Considered Innocent Until Proven Guilty in a Court of Law.
