La Junta Fire Dept Extinguishes Lewis Bolt and Nut Vent Fire
At 1114pm on Monday night, we responded to a reported fire on the roof at Lewis Bolt and Nut in the industrial park.
Upon arrival employees stated the fire was seen by the roof and coming out of a roof vent.
The fire sprinkler system was activated. Crews started evaluating the inside to find the fire was out.
Other crews were sent to the roof to evaluate the roof vent. There was evidence of a fire from soot buildup.
The fire was contained to the roof vent. Scene turned back over to employees and fire crews returned to service.
