Colorado State Patrol: Car VS CDOT Dump Truck Fatal Crash 

A Colorado State Patrol Public Information Officer Reported that Troopers were on scene at a two-vehicle crash with one fatality on US Hwy 50 in Rocky Ford. She said, "It was a vehicle versus a CDOT unit and the deceased was in the passenger vehicle, that's about as much as I can tell you right now."

Otero County Coroner Bob Fowler will release the name after family has been notified, according to the Colorado State Patrol.

The Eastbound Lanes of US Hwy 50 between Otero County Rd 20.5 and 21 were closed and traffic was detoured while the scene was cleared the morning of July 24, 2024.
