Lamar Fire Department VS Garage Fire
This morning at 0451 Lamar Fire was dispatched to a garage on fire on South 12th. Engine 6 and Truck 1 responded with a PAR of 1 each.
Upon arrival Chief 2 reported the garage was fully involved with a power lines sparking on the detached house. Chief 2 requested a second dispatch for Lamar Fire and mutual aid from Prowers County Rural Fire for manpower.
Engine 6 arrived on scene and was assigned as primary fire attack while Truck 1 established water supply. Crews on scene deployed a 2.5 inch pre connect hose and began to attack the fire.
Prowers County Rural responded 6520 and 6521 to the scene. 6520 arrived on scene and staged with Engine 6 while 6521 reported to side A of the structure.
The fire was extinguished and over haul was completed at approximately 0600.
