Otero Sheriff Reports on DUI Vehicular Assault Arrest in Cheraw

Cheraw, Colo. – September 12, 2024 – The Otero County Sheriff's Office and La Junta Fire Department responded to a vehicle accident involving a side-by-side off road vehicle at the Cheraw Lake.

Two people were transported to the Arkansas Valley Regional Medical Center in La Junta. One of the people transported sustained serious injuries.

The driver, Jacob Love age 29, was arrested on the charges of DUI, Vehicular Assault and Reckless Driving. He was booked into the Bent County Jail.

All Parties are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
