Bent County Sheriff's Office Makes Arrest, Seeks Public Assistance in Ongoing Investigation

On Saturday, October 12th 2024, Deputies of the Bent County Sheriff's Office and members of the Bent County Sheriff's Posse conducted two Search Warrants for evidence related to an ongoing investigation.

Deputies took one female, Jennie Martinez, into custody for an active Arrest Warrant on charges of 1st Degree Burglary, Aggravated Cruelty to Animals, Felony Menacing, False Imprisonment, and 1st Degree Trespass.

Also connected to this case is Alicia Jaramillo. Jaramillo is still at large and currently has an active warrant for her arrest for the following charges: 1st Degree Burglary, Aggravated Cruelty to Animals, False Imprisonment, Illegal Discharge of a Firearm, Possession of Weapons by Previous Offenders, 1st Degree Trespass, and Prohibited Use of Weapons.

All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
